Festival takes place from September 24 to 29 in Joinville
The organization of the 7th Pianístico Festival announces the release of the second batch of free tickets on Monday, the 16th. Reservations can be made on the enjoyticket.com.br website, with a limit of two tickets per CPF.
Scheduled for September 24 to 29, the festival will once again bring to Joinville a series of concerts featuring artists from Brazil and abroad, coming from five countries – England, Spain, Cuba, Argentina, and Paraguay – as well as workshops and masterclasses.
On September 20 and 23, before the festival begins, students from two municipal schools in Joinville will attend the children’s performance “Solano, the Piano,” with pianist Naara Santana and actor Luan Cordeiro.
Among the international attractions, a highlight is the presence of English pianist Peter Donohue, who will take the stage on Saturday, the 28th, at 8:30 PM, at the Juarez Machado Theater.
One of today’s leading pianists, known for his musicality, stylistic versatility, and commanding technique, he has performed in recent seasons with the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Orchestra, Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Belarus State Symphony Orchestra, and Birmingham City Symphony Orchestra.
He has toured the UK with the Russian State Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as performed in South America, Europe, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Russia, and the USA.
His most recent recordings include six volumes of Mozart’s Piano Sonatas.
He has played with the major orchestras of London, as well as with the Royal Concertgebouw, Munich Philharmonic, Swedish Radio, Radio France Philharmonic, Vienna Symphony, Czech Philharmonic, and the Berlin Philharmonic.
