The universe of gaming and streaming has grown exponentially in recent years, bringing new personalities to the forefront. One such rising star is the streamer Lucas Cavalcante, known as Ferrinho, who stands out for his closeness to his community and his unique way of transforming gaming into a collaborative experience.
His journey began on Instagram, but over time, the platform took on a new meaning. “I initially had a consumer’s view of the platform, but as time went on, I became a creator, and that was the turning point for understanding how it works,” he reveals. This insight transformed his content creation and allowed Lucas to interact more effectively with his followers.
On Twitch, Lucas highlights that the greatest differentiator of his streams is the closeness to his audience. Instead of maintaining a barrier between streamer and viewer, he seeks to create an active and engaged community. “I always invite people to play along with me, which ends up creating a bond of friendship with everyone. It’s a team game, five against five, and someone from the chat always joins in,” he comments. This interaction goes beyond just playing a game; it’s about building connections and sharing moments in real time.
Challenges and New Paths
During the pandemic, Lucas decided to explore Twitch but faced the challenge of maintaining consistency in his broadcasts. “The biggest challenge was consistency. Daily streams require a lot of commitment,” he explains.
The streamer has big plans for the near future. He mentioned his participation in the Cearense League of Gamers, an event that promises to be a milestone in the eSports scene in Ceará. “It will be at the beginning of November and will feature personalities from eSports in Brazil. We will have 10 games, including Valorant, Counter-Strike, and League of Legends. It will all be in-person, with many intense games and stories being created!”
Content Diversification
As his career progresses, Lucas is seeking new content formats. “I’ve been looking to do streams outside of gaming, like at the gym or while walking, something more personal to enhance the chat,” he shares.
Reflecting on the streaming platforms and the impact of Twitch on his career, the streamer is also considering migrating to other platforms. “Twitch has been making changes, but the steps of evolution are short. I might migrate to YouTube; I’m still deciding,” he says.
Roots and Influences
A fundamental part of Lucas’s evolution in streaming is his connection with other professionals in the field. He highlights some important influences: “Babi Michelleto, who chose me to participate in a program called Podecasting, was fundamental. Casemiro inspires me with the lightness in his broadcasts, and Michele Micheleto gave me my first chance as a game commentator. I can’t forget to mention Gaules, who brought a new perspective on eSports in Brazil.”
With future projects in mind and a growing gaming scene in Ceará, Lucas aims to “establish roots with gaming, especially in Fortaleza, which is growing and has a lot of space for this community.” The connection between eSports and strengthening the local scene is one of his long-term goals.
