Dr. Eliseu Kloster Launches the Book Caminho de Peabiru – A Brazilian Compostela in Pitanga

Last week, the renowned lawyer, Master of Law, and writer Dr. Eliseu Kloster held the official launch of his latest work, entitled Caminho de Peabiru – A Brazilian Compostela.

The event took place in the city of Pitanga, where the author resides and for which he holds deep affection, having contributed over the years to initiatives focused on the cultural and social development of the region.

Passionate about the subject, Dr. Eliseu has dedicated decades to researching the ancestral paths that cross Brazilian territory, especially the legendary Caminho de Peabiru—a historic trail that dates back to indigenous civilizations and holds deep connections with the processes of cultural and spiritual exchange in South America.

With an approach that blends history, spirituality, and national identity, the author offers a renewed perspective on the Peabiru path, drawing parallels with the famous Camino de Santiago de Compostela in Spain—hence the subtitle of the book.

The launch was attended by political authorities from the state of Paraná, academics, researchers, and tourism secretaries from various regions.

The event was honored by the presence of Federal Deputy Zeca Dirce and the Mayor of Pitanga, Sergeant Moraes, who highlighted the publication’s relevance to the historical and cultural preservation of the city and state.

In his words, he emphasized that the book represents “a milestone in the appreciation of regional memory and identity.”

As part of his commitment to education and the cultural development of future generations, Dr. Eliseu Kloster also launched, during the ceremony, an educational booklet for children, featuring accessible language and illustrations, which will be distributed free of charge in municipal schools. “It’s from an early age that we ignite great passions for reading, culture, and history.

This material is a seed to grow conscious citizens who are proud of their roots,” stated the author.

The ceremony featured a panel composed of various academic figures and specialists on the topic, and was marked by an emotional moment: the awarding of the ICCP Certificate of Honor – Cultural Institute Caminhos de Peabiru, as well as the Cabeza de Vaca Commendation, granted by Dr. Eliseu himself to individuals who have significantly contributed to the appreciation of Brazil’s historical and cultural heritage.

The launch concluded with an elegant cocktail reception, offering moments of camaraderie among attendees and fostering the exchange of experiences, ideas, and proposals for the future of historical tourism in Paraná and throughout Brazil.

The event reaffirmed the importance of initiatives that unite knowledge, culture, and citizenship.
