New release explores real motherhood stories and includes interactive colouring book to strengthen parent-child bonds

At the 2025 Rio Book Fair, Brazilian author and journalist Priscilla Litwak is set to launch two complementary books that embrace the emotional depth and complexity of motherhood. The dual release — happening on June 16 — features Queria Me Teletransportar (“I Wish I Could Teleport”), a collection of intimate maternal chronicles, and a heartfelt companion colouring book designed for mothers and children to share together.

Published by independent press Emó Editora, the main title has already sold out its first print run ahead of its official release, a strong indicator of its resonance with readers.

The official launch takes place at 1:00 PM at the Escreva Garota stand, following a panel titled “The Importance of Women in Children’s Literature” at 12:00 PM.

Real Stories, Raw Emotions

Queria Me Teletransportar (“I Wish I Could Teleport”) offers 326 pages of moving, real-life stories from women navigating the less-spoken sides of motherhood. The book touches on themes such as infertility, adoption, perinatal grief, solo parenting, atypical motherhood, egg freezing, and even the conscious choice not to have children. It also features insights from mental health professionals, parenting experts, and family therapists.

“I wrote this book as an offering of comfort — for myself and for all the women who carry guilt, silence, and exhaustion in their motherhood journeys,” Litwak shares. “Motherhood is powerful, but it can also be incredibly lonely.”

A Book to Colour, Breathe and Connect

Alongside the main title, Litwak presents a creative and sensory experience: a colouring book inspired by excerpts from the original work. With hand-drawn illustrations and poignant quotes, the new release aims to encourage presence, conversation, and imagination between parents and children — or even among caregivers, teachers, and therapists.

“This colouring book was born out of a dream for stillness,” says Litwak. “A moment when a mother and her child sit together, colour, talk, breathe — a gentle pause in the day.”

Tech-Enhanced Storytelling and Emotional Engagement

The books are more than printed pages: they invite interaction. Readers will find QR codes throughout the publication and at the author’s booth, unlocking exclusive content such as video reflections, personal testimonies, and additional essays.

Visitors who stop by the stand on June 16 and take a photo with the author will receive a “literary affection kit”, including exclusive stickers, a never-before-published short story, a personalised pencil, and a mystery gift.

Launching a Support Network: Entre Anas

The event will also mark the introduction of Entre Anas (“Among Anas”), a support initiative for women across different stages of motherhood. The network offers listening circles, both in-person and online, for women who are trying to conceive, experiencing postpartum challenges, grieving, or simply in need of community and emotional support.
