At just 8 years old, Arthur Yera has already won a prominent role on TV Globo as the antagonist in the soap opera “ Êta Mundo Melhor!”. Born and raised in the North Zone of São Paulo, the child actor began his artistic journey when he was just three and a half years old and, since then, has been building a career marked by talent, versatility and charisma in front of the cameras. After acting in advertising campaigns for major brands, Arthur is now emerging as one of the most promising bets of the new generation of national drama.
Since you were very young, you have been in front of the cameras, participating in film and TV productions. What was it like for you, at such a young age, to deal with the behind-the-scenes of this universe and understand what it meant to “act”?
I started when I was three and a half years old, so for me it was a big game of pretending, always a lot of fun. But at the same time I also knew it was serious. Today I know that acting and telling a story with emotion.
Your entry into the artistic world happened spontaneously, but over time your passion grew. At what point did you realize that acting was more than just a childhood experience — it was something you wanted to pursue as a career?
I still have fun every time I’m acting, that’s just how I am, I take what I do seriously, but with a lot of fun. Acting is who I am, I’m already an actor and I just want to learn more to continue doing what I love.

Throughout your career, you have worked on several advertising campaigns that require quick adaptation and versatility. What have these experiences taught you about communication, visual language and connecting with the public?
Campaigning taught me that people speak with their bodies and their eyes, and I also learned to pay close attention to what the director wants.
Being accepted for the soap opera “ Êta Mundo Melhor!” was certainly an important milestone in your career. What was it like to go through this selection process and then play such a significant character in such a large-scale production?
The tests were like a secret that I had to keep very quiet, I couldn’t tell anyone, and I managed to keep the secret. When my mother received the news that I had passed, she screamed and I immediately thought, yes, I passed.
Playing this character is really cool, it’s a dream because I wanted to play Sinbad during the auditions, so it was a joy to know that I had succeeded and that I would be Sinbad , who is someone totally different from me and that’s what’s cool.

Playing an antagonist is a challenge that requires layers of interpretation and empathy for the role. What was the process of building this character like and what did you learn most from playing him?
I try to think about how he feels and what he would do in that situation. I understand that he has a reason for being the way he is, but that deep down he also has something beautiful to show as well.
You grew up in São Paulo, surrounded by diverse stimuli and a vibrant cultural scene. How did your hometown and the environment where you grew up influence your artistic outlook and the way you see the world?
São Paulo is a big city full of cool things to see. It’s full of different people, noise and colors, and this helps to imagine fun stories and characters.

With a career that began so early, it’s only natural that your relationship with acting has evolved over the years. Today, what does the art of storytelling mean to you — personally and professionally?
I’m happy to be able to play at being different people, acting is my special way of making everyone smile and dream along with me.
We know that acting requires dedication, discipline and constant improvement. How do you seek to develop as an artist on a daily basis and what are the next steps you dream of taking?
I have a lot of fun, but I take acting very seriously. I study, train, observe other actors and listen to directors. Every day I learn a little bit. I have many dreams, which are to continue doing soap operas, movies, and maybe even be a superhero (I really want that).
