The production, titled “The Hunger Games On Stage”, will premiere on October 20 at the newly built Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre in the UK capital. Mariana is one of only two Brazilian actors in the cast and promises to bring a powerful and vibrant interpretation of the character.

“Playing Glimmer is an honor. She is so much more than she appears to be. She’s confident, determined, and I’m excited to bring her to life and embrace this experience,” says the actress.

Mariana had already made her mark by becoming the first Brazilian to join the Guildhall, the acclaimed drama school that has trained talents like Daniel Craig and Ewan McGregor. Now, by taking on a significant role in one of the most celebrated worlds in literature and cinema, she further solidifies her place in the international theater scene.

“It’s a great responsibility to represent Brazil in an international cast. Bringing our talent to such an important stage fills me with pride. I want to give my best and honor this opportunity,” she adds.

The main cast also features Mia Carragher (Katniss Everdeen) and Euan Garrett (Peeta Mellark). Adapted by Conor McPherson and directed by Matthew Dunster, the production stands out for its “in-the-round” format: an oval stage surrounded by the audience in 360°, divided into 11 sections representing Panem’s districts, fully immersing spectators in the atmosphere of the Hunger Games arena.
