Brazil’s Capital,  Brasília, marked an important step forward for governance and integrity in that country. The Latin American Institute of Public Governance and Compliance (IGCP), represented by Director Henrique Farinon, the Governance Brazil Network (RGB), chaired by Cristiane Nardes, and the Global ESG Institute formalized the signing of a Technical Cooperation Agreement (ACT).

The pact reinforces the exchange of experiences and the development of best practices in governance and ESG within the public sector, expanding initiatives that have already been transforming public management and promoting greater transparency.

On the same occasion, Augusto Nardes, Minister of Brazil’s Federal Court of Accounts (TCU), was honored by the Global ESG Institute with the Kofi Annan Medal, in recognition of his career and his significant contribution to integrity and public governance in the country.

“Receiving the Kofi Annan Medal is an honor I share with all those who believe that good governance transforms nations. Brazil must strengthen its institutions and, above all, share practices that ensure ethics, sustainability, and social responsibility,” said the Minister.

For Cristiane Nardes, President of the Governance Brazil Network (RGB), the agreement broadens horizons and generates a direct impact on society. “RGB was created to share knowledge and foster governance in the public sector. Together with IGCP and the Global ESG Institute, we will take even stronger steps toward building a more transparent, ethical, and sustainable Brazil,” she stated.

Henrique Farinon, Director of IGCP, also highlighted the importance of the partnership. “The Technical Cooperation Agreement is more than a document: it is a real commitment among institutions that understand governance and compliance as pillars of development. By joining forces, we will be able to disseminate best practices more broadly and effectively,” he emphasized.

The mission of the Global ESG Institute is to promote sustainability, ethics, and social responsibility by connecting initiatives that positively impact the public sector and civil society.

The ceremony in Brasília left a clear message: the strength of governance is born when it is lived collectively and translated into action.
