The band Fenícia ended 2025 celebrating a milestone in their career with the release of the EP “Pé na Porta – Ao Vivo”, made available on December 5th on all music streaming platforms by Marã Música. Recorded during the Pé na Porta Festival in Ribeirão Preto (SP), the work marks the trio’s first live recording and authentically captures the strength, commitment, and energy that the band brings to the stage.

The EP brings together four tracks already known and loved by the public, recorded in a raw and faithful way to the sound presented in the shows. More than just live versions, the project functions as an honest portrait of Fenícia’s experience on stage, reinforcing the connection with those who follow the band and opening doors to new listeners.

Alongside the release, Fenícia also made the audiovisual recording of the track “Meu Bem” available on their official YouTube channel. Recorded during the festival itself, the video highlights the spontaneity and intensity of the live performance, solidifying “Pé na Porta – Ao Vivo” as an important document of the band’s current phase.

This is the first live recording of your career. When did you realize, on stage at the Pé na Porta Festival, that that moment needed to become an EP?

We realized right there on stage at the Pé na Porta Festival that that moment needed to become an EP, because we knew it was being captured in its entirety. The energy was different—intense, precise, true. We felt that the band, now a trio, was more connected than ever, and that performance had an emotional weight that couldn’t just be contained in a memory. When we listened to the recordings and saw how much Marcos Scantamburlo’s (@marcos.audio) mixing and mastering enhanced the raw truth of the show, we were certain: that recording deserved to exist. It was the beginning of a new phase and it couldn’t go unnoticed.

Over the years, each band develops a “unique live energy.” What element of your performance—be it humor, delivery, improvisation, or connection—did you most want to shine through in this recording?

What we most wanted to convey in this recording is our connection—between ourselves and with the audience. That’s where everything originates: the spontaneous humor, the improvisation that only happens because we trust each other, and the commitment that becomes almost a ritual every time we step on stage. This unique energy, which blends intensity with truth, is what has always made Fenícia who it is live. Recording this was essential so that people could feel not only the sound, but the bond that transforms each show into something alive.

You chose four songs that are fan favorites. Is there a behind-the-scenes story, a concert anecdote, or a fan experience that made you realize these songs held a special significance for you?

The choice of the four tracks came largely from the energy we perceived live and the responses from social media and streaming. Each one gained strength precisely because the audience showed it to us in very different ways. “Mar de Dentro,” for example, is a song that has already had reports of saving a fan during a difficult time. These gestures made it clear that these songs carried a special emotional weight, and that’s why they needed to be recorded on this live EP.

The EP has a raw sound that’s true to who you are on stage. What’s the biggest challenge for a band when it comes to transforming the vulnerability and intensity of a live performance into a final product?

The biggest challenge is balancing the truth of the stage with the responsibility of transforming that into a lasting record. In live performances, everything happens on impulse—the accelerated breathing, the voice faltering with emotion, the improvisation that arises in the moment, the mistake that becomes a success. When we decide to transform this vulnerability into a final product, the challenge is not to “clean it up too much” and lose the soul. It’s a delicate game between technique and feeling. In the end, what guides us is honesty: letting the intensity appear unfiltered, because that’s what represents who Fenícia is on stage.

You mention that the release should deepen the relationship with the fans. What do you most hope the audience will feel when they hear Fenícia unfiltered, unretouched — the way it happens on stage?

We hope the audience feels exactly what we feel when we’re on stage. We want each person to listen to the EP and have the sensation of being inside the show—hearing the breath, the energy of the guitars, the power of the drums, the little improvisations that only happen when we’re connected with the audience. Without filters, the music reveals our weaknesses and our strengths, and that’s precisely what strengthens the relationship with those who accompany us. If the audience feels truth, closeness, and that desire to be there with us again, then the EP has fulfilled its purpose.

“Meu Bem” was chosen for the audiovisual recording. What does this song carry that represents the essence of Phoenicia in its truest form?

“Meu Bem” carries a sincerity that has always permeated us. It’s a song that was born from a very intimate place, but it transformed when it found its audience—it became a link between the vulnerability of the lyrics and the strength of our sound. On stage, it’s the track where everything aligns: emotion, truth, surrender. It has a dynamic and a kind of intensity that can’t be faked. Recording “Meu Bem” in audiovisual format was almost inevitable, because it shows Fenícia without masks—raw, honest, and completely surrendered to the moment. It’s our essence in its purest form.

The Pé na Porta Festival seems to have played a decisive role in this process. What was it like to live through this experience from an emotional and professional point of view?

The Pé na Porta Festival was crucial for us, as it confirmed the excellent moment we were experiencing with Fenícia and crowned the Kiss FM festival, which we also won the previous month in Ribeirão Preto. Professionally, it showed that we were ready to record a live performance with responsibility and maturity. Emotionally, it was overwhelming: the connection with the audience, and the exchange and authenticity of that day made us see who we are on stage. That’s when the certainty that this EP needed to exist was born.

After so many years on the road, releasing a live EP can be an artistic rebirth. What doors do you feel this work opens for 2026 and for Fenícia’s new phase?

Releasing this live EP marks a rebirth, yes — but it also serves as a warm-up for what we’re really preparing for 2026: the complete live video recording, in the year Fenícia turns 20. It’s a symbolic and very powerful phase for us. Even after so much time, our energy and drive are the same — or even greater — than when we started. And now, as a trio, we are more aligned in our thinking, our commitment, and our desire to continue building our dreams and goals. This EP opens doors because it reaffirms who we are on stage and points to the future we want to live together.
