On the evening of Friday, 15 May, in the capital Vitória, Espírito Santo, journalist Joacles Costa was honoured with the Sales Research Prize 2026, achieving first place in the International Correspondent category. With more than a decade of professional experience, a Doctor Honoris Causa in Journalism, and as a professor of Portuguese Language, Joacles has earned popular recognition for his work published in outlets across the United States, Angola, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Portugal — consolidating his role as a Brazilian voice beyond borders.
The ceremony, held at the distinguished Clube Ítalo Brasileiro, brought together over 300 guests and representatives from 98 companies that excelled in 2025. It was an evening marked by the celebration of professionals and brands chosen by public opinion through online voting and printed questionnaires, reinforcing the credibility and authenticity of the process.
Joacles Costa emphasised the importance of the recognition: “I am very pleased to receive this award, which acknowledges our work and our commitment to delivering news that is light, relevant and, above all, credible — because the public deserves it.”
A staunch advocate of ethics and credibility, Joacles views journalism as an agent of social transformation. In his writings, he connects identity, culture and belonging, reinforcing the role of communication as a collective heritage.
The award, organised by Sales Research, is now in its second edition in Espírito Santo. According to Flávio Botega, a representative of the company, the initiative seeks to highlight professionals and businesses that stand out in sectors such as health, beauty, gastronomy and services. “It is a great satisfaction to honour companies and highly qualified professionals who drive this grand circle of excellence,” he stated. Established more than 25 years ago, the prize originated in Minas Gerais and today has national reach.
The rigorous methodology involves both physical questionnaires and online voting, awarding only the first-place winner in each category. Beyond companies, recognition also extends to independent professionals and communicators, further enhancing the credibility of the honourees.
