The Brazilian entrepreneur is preparing to launch ALMA Beauty and Wellness in the Moema neighborhood of São Paulo, alongside ALMA Essentials—a supplement brand inspired by her own experience with food intolerances.

Entrepreneur and content creator Vanessa Oliver, 26, is currently developing two ventures within the wellness sector. Based in Dubai, she is working on the supplement brand ALMA Essentials for the United Arab Emirates market, while simultaneously establishing ALMA Beauty and Wellness in Moema, São Paulo. Although the projects have different origins, both are rooted in her personal and family background.

Vanessa left home at 17 in search of independence, working in various fields—including legal support—before turning her focus to content creation and entrepreneurship. Her move to Dubai required her to learn English and adapt to an entirely different cultural and professional environment.

Now, the experience of building a life abroad informs the development of both brands, which are currently in the implementation phase.

A space connected to her mother’s legacy

ALMA Beauty and Wellness grew out of Vanessa’s childhood spent around her mother’s beauty salon. After school, she would often spend part of her day there, observing the services provided and the way her mother interacted with clients.

While she did not pursue the technical side of beauty services as a career, that early exposure remained a key influence. The project in Moema also represents a dream she shares with her mother.

Vanessa oversees the brand’s vision, creative direction, and the curation of the client experience. The concept integrates beauty and wellness, with a strong emphasis on punctuality, privacy, and personalized service. Insights gained in Dubai are shaping her approach, which she intends to tailor to the warm, welcoming style of Brazilian hospitality.

With the property currently being prepared for renovations, the process involves extensive planning, investment, and operational structuring. Vanessa describes this phase as a period of personal growth, where the pursuit of her dreams is accompanied by new, significant responsibilities. From Personal Experience to Creating Supplements

ALMA Essentials emerged from the challenges Vanessa says she faced with food intolerances and digestive sensitivities. These symptoms affected her diet, her daily routine, and her relationship with her own body, prompting her to seek professional guidance and alternatives tailored to her specific needs.

A concern for health also runs through her family history. Her grandmother passed away from stomach cancer, and her mother also dealt with health issues—distinct experiences that, according to Vanessa, heightened her focus on self-care.

She also highlights how food restrictions can impact everyday situations, such as traveling, dining out at restaurants, or attending social gatherings.

Currently in development, ALMA Essentials aims to create supplements with a careful focus on their composition and the needs of consumers with food sensitivities, while adhering to all relevant technical and safety standards. Vanessa intends to expand the brand internationally and contribute to broader conversations on the subject.

On social media—where she shares content about beauty, fashion, and life abroad—the behind-the-scenes of her business are beginning to take center stage. This new phase bridges her role as a content creator with the decisions and challenges involved in running a business across two countries.
