It is not enough to be considered “Best Actor” in Brazil – awarded at the Rio Webfest -, Rodrigo Tardelli now has an award in the same category at the Asia Web Awards, for his incredible acting work in the webseries “Até Você Me Esquecer”. The announcement was made on the last December 29th, ending a year of great success and achievements for Rodrigo as an actor and also as a producer of the hit “Stupid Wife”, a web series by Ponto Ação Produções, in which he is a partner.
The actor’s recognition was not built overnight. As an entrepreneur with one of the pioneering production companies working with independent webseries, Rodrigo has been charting the path to success for some time now. Even after two seasons, one inspired by the fanfic and the other entirely written by him, “Até Você Me Esquecer” still receives appeal from fans for a fourth part of the plot. The recognition by the Asia Web Awards represents the success and the work very well structured, from the script to the result seen by the public.
“I believe that an award like this is the feeling of accomplishment, of always looking to study, grow and challenge myself as an artist. When you put your soul into something you really believe in, the universe responds to you that way. Having this feedback from so many different sides challenges and motivates us to improve and achieve even more dreams and goals”, says Tardelli.
The Asia Web Awards is an international festival and takes place in South Korea, opening space for independent filmmakers and creators to be seen worldwide. In Brazil, the Rio WebFest festival works in a similar way. And it was in the 2019 edition that Rodrigo received the award for “Best Drama Actor” for the first time, also with “Até Você Me Esquecer”.
The Asia Web Awards international award, without a doubt, is a milestone for Rodrigo Tardelli’s trajectory and also of great importance for the Brazilian cultural scene, which produces and wins awards despite all the neglect and lack of investment in recent years.
“This is yet another great recognition for my career, it is always a great deposit of energy, confidence and strength of people with us even in these independent projects”, concludes the actor.
