Matheus Assis is a talented actor and model just eight years old. He is currently involved in a number of artistic and educational activities that contribute to his professional development. He has also stood out in the area of children’s fashion, carrying out advertising campaigns for renowned brands, such as Fábula, Molekinho, Trupe Esperta, as well as for Colégio and Curso Ideia Kids. In addition, Matheus had the opportunity to model for several renowned brands, such as Berozinha, Oliver Jr, Gabriela Aquarela, Laureh, among others.
Currently, Matheus is immersed in his role as João, the son of the character played by Bárbara Reis, in the exciting telenovela “Terra e Paixão”, broadcast by Rede Globo. His performance promises to captivate the public and show all his talent and potential as a child actor.

How was your experience acting in “Terra e Paixão” and acting with actress Bárbara Reis?
Sometimes I can’t believe I’m living this, because making a telenovela has always been my dream, especially one at 9 pm, with so many important actors. I have no words to express, I feel like Flamengo’s number 10. Bárbara is amazing, she plays with me, helps me with the recordings and even steals my chocolate, lol.
You’ve participated in several acting projects, from commercials to short films. What has been the most challenging job so far and why?
The movie “By By Amazônia” was a challenge for me, because I studied the character, but during the recording everything changed and I had to learn the text and interpret it at the moment. However, the telenovela has been more challenging, as João starts with a story full of sadness and action. I always remember that these feelings are the character’s, not mine, so I can act well in the scene and then be okay.
In addition to acting, you are also a model and have walked for some brands. How do you feel walking down the catwalks?
I like taking pictures and walking the runway, being on the catwalk close to people. But what I really love is acting is what I love the most.
You are a Child Ambassador of the Pão de Açúcar Cable Car. What does this mean for you and how do you use this position to promote positive change?
I was very happy with the invitation to be a Child Ambassador of the Pão de Açúcar Cable Car. They are very affectionate with me and always invite me to special events.
We talked a lot with Matheus about the importance of culture and the preservation of the environment, and the cable car brings these themes together. Whenever possible, we invite family and friends who have not yet had the opportunity to visit the place and live this experience.
You’ve done advertising for several children’s brands. How do you feel about being a role model for other kids?
I feel very happy and moved to see that all my study and dedication brought results and today they serve as an inspiration for those who are starting.
You study theater, acting, English and also play football. How do you balance your busy schedule with all these activities?
I study and carry out school activities in the morning. Shooting takes place in the afternoon, and my parents organize my study schedule. I take homework and do it in the dressing room during breaks between scenes. I also rest and play there. On the weekends, I’m with my family and friends, leading a normal life like a kid.
You’ve already had the opportunity to act in different media, from television to theater. What is your preference regarding these different ways of acting?
I like them all, each one has something special. However, TV is enchanting me more every day. It’s a world full of magic and seeing the result of your work on the small screen is incredible.
You participated in the film “By By Amazônia”, which addresses environmental issues. How concerned are you about the environment and what do you think kids can do to help protect the planet?
I believe that we should take care of the environment, avoiding throwing garbage on the ground, not cutting down trees, not harming animals and avoiding water pollution. If we are not careful, our planet will be in danger. It is important that children get involved and do their part to protect the environment.
