Upon returning to Brazil, she gained prominence as a dancer for the duo Tropkillaz, participating in clips by renowned artists, such as Anitta and Jota Quest.
In addition to being a dancer, Luanna has also invested in her musical career and released her first single, “Tchunarus Lifestyle”, in 2017. With a unique mix of trap, pop and punk rock, she has won millions of views on YouTube and approached 100,000 Instagram followers.

The album features guest appearances by artists such as Lia Clark, Chameleo and Naio, and solidifies Luanna as one of the promises of national pop.
How would you describe the musical style and sound of the album “LUANNA”? And what can we expect from the next part?
I would describe the musical style of the “LUANNA” album as unique, rare and irreverent. The album spans a variety of music genres such as miami bass, hyper pop, funk, techno, drumbass, jersey, and brings pop influences into an iconic guise. It is a danceable and energetic sound, with a mixture of elements that make the sound unique. As for the next part, we can expect more catchy, innovative songs and a continuation of the originality and creativity showcased on the album.
What were your main influences and references in creating this album?
In the process of creating the album “LUANNA”, I looked for references in songs like “Satisfaction” by Benny Benassi and brought it into the context of “Flexner”, which has a contagious energy to work out. We also sampled at the beginning of “Bom Djya” the song “Headstrong” by Ashley Tisdale, which brings a solar energy and that reminds me of my pure energy when I hear it. In addition, I sought to bring my own compositions to bring my message to my audience.
What was it like working with artists Lia Clark, Chameleo and Naio on the album’s features?
Working with artists Lia Clark, Chameleo and Naio was incredible. They are extremely talented, and it was a delightful experience to create this part of my story with each of them. The collaboration was very creative and brought a new dimension to the songs.
Does the album address specific themes or are there a variety of subjects explored in the songs?
The album tackles a variety of themes in the songs. Although there is a diversity of subjects explored, the beginning of the B side is more fun and enjoying, while the second half brings deeper reflections.
What is the main message you want to convey to your listeners through your lyrics and performances?
The main message I want to convey to my listeners is the freedom to be yourself. My lyrics and performances seek to celebrate individuality, authenticity and exalt female power. I want people to feel inspired to express who they are without fear.
How was your experience living in China and how did it influence your music career?
Living in China was a transformative experience for me. It was my first international job as a singer, and there I was able to experience different cultures and musical styles, such as k-pop. It was an opportunity for growth and learning, where I faced challenges and developed my art in a unique way.
How is your relationship with the LGBTQIAP+ audience and how do you believe your music impacts this community?
My relationship with the LGBTQIAP+ audience is very natural and genuine. I believe that my music is somehow a source of inspiration for the community. My art seeks to celebrate diversity, acceptance and the freedom to be who you are. I want all people, regardless of their sexual orientation, to feel represented and empowered through my music.
What are your plans for the future in terms of your career and musical projects?
My biggest dream right now is to tour with my album. I want to be in direct contact with my audience, getting to know them and better understanding their experiences. For the next projects, I intend to continue bringing my world view and unique aesthetic, keeping my originality and faithfulness to myself. I’m excited to explore new horizons and keep evolving artistically.
How do you balance your unique artistic identity with the demands and expectations of the music industry?
First initially… what is industry expectation? Is it a pattern? A polished artist? Because if that’s the case, I’m not that person… I’ll keep my ideals, my truth, my aesthetics, my worldview and continue to be original. And how to maintain that balance? Being true to myself.
