Luca Picorelli, a talented filmmaker and actor from Rio de Janeiro, aged just 24, has conquered his space in the performing arts and in the film industry. From amateur theater at the age of 10 to his training in Cinema and Audiovisual, Luca has been dedicated to the world of entertainment. Not only does he act, but he also performs crucial behind-the-scenes roles as an assistant director, screenwriter, and producer.

With a solid background, which includes professional courses and training at the International Film Academy, Luca is constantly improving his skills. His career spans a number of notable theater projects, such as “Rio e Grande Elenco” and “Bonitinha, mas Ordinária,” as well as short films, including “Trindade,” where he served as Assistant Art Director.

Furthermore, Luca is not limited to the stage and film set. He is also an accomplished comedian and online content producer, with a strong presence on Instagram and TikTok. His creative work has captivated a significant audience, and he continues to excel in editing, directing and producing for others in the field. With a career on the rise and an evident passion for the entertainment world, Luca Picorelli is a bright promise in the audiovisual industry and a name to be followed closely.

Which filmmakers, actors or content creators influence your work? Is there a specific style or artistic approach that you admire and try to incorporate into your own creations?

Tatá Werneck, without a doubt, is my greatest inspiration in the world of humor. Even though we have different styles of humor, I drink from the source of her work so that, one day, I can get a little closer to what she is.

His work as a comedian and online content producer has reached a significant audience. How do you find inspiration to create funny and relevant content for social media?

The Brazilian scene inspires me to create. Our way of telling news and mocking everyday life is unique. We need that breath of humor to face life. Many of my best videos come from observing everyday life, as transforming simple comments or attitudes into videos often reinforces our ironic lifestyle. A good example of this is my video about “the bag on the beach” (which reached over 2 million views). This idea came about when we, locals, commented on the danger of leaving our bags with strangers on the beach.

Technology plays an important role in content production and distribution. How do you see technology’s influence on the arts and how has it shaped your creative approach?

I started my career in the theater, where I had control over who watched me. Creating content on the internet, on the other hand, scares me more, as any mistake can reach a huge audience and generate criticism. Therefore, I decided to use the online universe to my advantage and take advantage of people’s passion for interaction. Sometimes I create videos with the intention of deliberately generating comments and shares, to grow through active audience participation.

How have your academic background and independent courses contributed to the development of content production on the Internet?

I’ve already done college and several film courses, which gave me an impetus to create videos with a stronger visual appeal, keeping people engaged. However, as an actor, I sometimes face challenges as it’s difficult to express my work in short videos. However, I believe my work is just beginning, and in the future, I hope to reach an even wider audience through film.
