As lead singer of the band Carrossel de Emoções, she also carries the energy of Rio’s megablocos. Now, in 2023, Alinne is preparing for to a new milestone in his musical journey.

The album “Fim de Festa” marks the beginning of a new era for Alinne Garruth: “As well as being my first studio album – which in itself is a major milestone – it’s also the most vulnerable and authentic work I’ve ever shared, tackling themes that I’ve never revealed before,” the singer shares.

In partnership with Ternário Music and with production by Marcel Sousa, Alinne Garruth is dedicating herself to creating an album that promises to surprise and captivate. The full album is due to be released in March 2024, marking her transition from the local scene to the national scene, with collaborations with musicians from all over Brazil.

The album will retain the vibrant pop style that is her signature, but will add a more intimate and authentic touch. Alinne Garruth invites listeners on a journey of reflection and authenticity through her music, demonstrating that “End of Party” is actually an exciting beginning.

Alinne, your new album “Fim de Festa” marks a turning point in your career. Can you tell us more about what listeners can expect from it?

You can expect heavy pop – with lyrics, bass, percussion and sound elements in general. It’s about feeling and being felt. It’s an album in which I access the darkest sides of all my feelings and turn them into art.

You’ve mentioned that this album is more vulnerable and truthful than your previous work. What inspired you to share these deeper emotions and experiences?

I think art and truth go hand in hand. Your experience is what makes you unique as a person and as an artist. After the pandemic, I felt the need to be more truthful with my feelings and with those who listen to me: no matter how sad or tense they may be, that’s who I was at the moment and that’s the only way people will truly identify with me.

What was it like collaborating with Ternário Music and producer Marcel Sousa to create this album?

Ternário has been my home as an artist and as a music business professional for some time now. It was my first contact with music outside Espírito Santo and it’s where I learnt a lot. Being with Ternário and Marcel makes me feel at home, welcomed and driven at the same time. Having great music professionals by my side is a privilege.

The new album explores subjects you’ve never talked about before. Can you give us a preview of these themes and how they relate to your journey as an artist?

Depression and anxiety are certainly the main themes of the album. But I also talk about many other topics: sexual rediscovery, my change of state and the difficulty of being a woman in music.

How would you describe the evolution of your music from your first singles to this studio album?

What has changed in your musical approach? Mainly maturity. On the first singles I was much younger and more hopeful, I was discovering who I wanted to be as an artist, what I wanted to say, what flags I was going to raise, who I identified with. I think now I’m more aware of who I am, what I want, what I do, and I’m also aware of the reality of the market I’m in. The sound has obviously changed too, as I now favour a more modern, bass-driven sound.

The album “Fim de Festa” is a mixture of pop elements and deeper melodies. How do you balance these two facets in your music?

The balance comes mainly between the lyrics and the production elements. The melodies are straighter, but the lyrics are heavier, with deep bass and distortion. Everything comes together.

You mentioned that the album is “to dance to while crying”. How do you see the role of music in dealing with complex emotions?

Music – in fact art in general – is the deepest expression of these feelings. It’s through art that we often identify our emotions and identify with others too. How many times have I heard a song and thought “damn, that’s EXACTLY what I’m feeling! what if I sing it until I get it off my chest?”? You know?

What do you hope the public will feel or understand after listening to this album?

I want people to feel all their feelings welcome. That they can feel anger, sadness, horniness, all together, and without guilt. And if they need to, to have a channel for channelling these emotions in a safe way.

What are your plans for the album’s release in March 2024 and its transition to the national stage? Any exciting partnerships you can share?

I already have lots of plans, the whole audiovisual part is being worked on with my team – photos, videos and music videos. As for the songs, I’m finalising some productions, but I’m already thinking about the order, singles and which of the many tracks will be present or not. I’m very excited!

For listeners who are getting to know your work for the first time, how would you describe your musical identity and the message you want to convey through your music?

I’m a Brazilian pop artist and my music is energetic, dramatic, deep and sensual. I want people to feel free to feel whatever they want and to be able to embrace even their worst feelings. It’s for those who feel a lot!
