Artist would have started working even before being completely literate and in addition to having worked in several campaigns as a model, she also has the help of her family in managing her career
That the children of the current generation are increasingly connected to the net, this is not so much news, after all, if they are born with their eyes open, let alone a tablet in hand in a few decades. However, there are those who, while using them just for fun, also have some that are already up to date and know how to use them as investments for their futures. This is the case of Antonia Frias.
Accompanied by the careful eyes of her family, managing each of her networks, the little girl will make a big investment in 2023 by launching herself into the world of music, more specifically into funk, through KondZilla, one of the biggest producers of the genre present in the country.
With almost 200,000 followers on Instagram, the model, actress and influencer reveals how she started working even before becoming completely literate and closed work with several brands, in addition to hosting the podcast “Vem Kom a Gente” and participating in the miniseries “Do not mess with me”. Check out the interview!
The year 2023 will be full of news and one of them is her commitment to the funk genre. How are your expectations for taking this new step, especially in a big producer like Kondzilla, and how is your songwriting going?
I’m very excited, I’m putting together the whole repertoire with incredible songs, composed by me and with some arrangements that you will be able to check out!
Known for its heavy lyrics, funk often has a very adult content. Doesn’t starting in the music industry singing this kind of genre become risky for the children’s audience and likely receiving comparisons with other child singers?
I believe it’s a big movement, for all ages, and the intention is to show that funk is not just for adults.
The podcast ‘Vem Kom a Gente!’ it’s a fun show. Which themes and guests were striking for you?
We don’t have a fixed script, we let it flow, but certainly the most amazing thing was interviewing Jessica Cohen. She is an incredible woman, well traveled, she understands a lot not only about music, but about the media that is my world today.
Still six years old, today you are a digital influencer, podcast host and now you will also be a singer. What is it like for you to be able to balance your work routine with school life and find time to be a child amid so many commitments? Did your parents always support you?
Well I have days to work, and always outside my school hours. My mother helps a lot for me to have my moment of being a child. I know my responsibilities. But today for me is fun.
Her Instagram profile has more than 191,000 followers and, just as social media has become a great tool that brings idols and fans closer together, vice versa, it is also a very careful place, especially when we think about exposing children, like you to this public life. How do you and your parents deal with these exposure issues and what do you do to keep your image safe?
My social networks have a support network, my mother takes care of all the posts, selects the contents, my older sister takes care of the stories, my father on my YouTube channel, I read everything they send me, but always supervised by this network.
Until recently, you weren’t even literate, but you already called yourself an influencer, presenter and actress. How did you manage to do all this even without having this improved ease of communication?
Now I’m already literate, but until January of this year we used a headphone where my mother read all my todo’s and I listened to her to memorize. So my mother always memorized first and then I listened and interpreted. In addition to helping me with literacy, it worked on my memory.
Regarding your presence on the internet, whose idea was it to put you on the network, your parents or yourself?
I posted a video on YouTube out of nowhere, my parents seeing that I learned to handle the camera and post by myself, decided to set up Instagram and it worked out very well. Today I am very grateful for believing in my dream.
Regarding the trend of young bloggers, we are increasingly seeing influencers arriving on social networks, even matching adult influencers in some cases, taking into account that social networks were theoretically aimed only at adults. What do you think explains this trend of children “invading” social networks and attracting the public so much?
I believe that only the one generation we came to make a difference. My mother used to say that children weren’t even born with their eyes open in the old days. Today, we just need to talk. I believe that it is the Internet, the available tools that ended up making this generation more connected.
