Born in Rio de Janeiro, singer-songwriter Anttoni recently released his first studio album “Parte de Mim”, an audacious project that has already reached over 30,000 listeners on the platforms. The work addresses his vision, about the good and bad parts of relating to people: the butterflies in your stomach, blossoming love, sex, fear of losing, ending, pain and overcoming.

All the tracks are written by Anttoni and there is a chronological order between the tracks, a story with a beginning, middle and end. All this starting with an interlude showing the acceptance of the artist as a singer before anything else. From pop to rock, from love to hate, the carioca shows all his vulnerability and versatility throughout the album. Check out the interview!

Recently released, the album “Parte de Mim” marks the first release of his professional career and reached more than 30,000 plays. Could you tell us a little more about the birth of this project?

”Parte de Mim” has always been a desire artistically speaking, I always knew I wanted to release an album and tell a story with it. I also always knew about the difficulties, releasing a single single in the current scenario is already difficult, people don’t want to stop to listen to a new artist on the market. Who will say a whole album, but I never let the difficulties speak louder. I started composing this album in 2019 and we released it at the end of 2022. Some songs were discarded for another future project and others are separated for the deluxe release, still without a date.

In addition to singing, you are also a composer and wrote all the tracks that make up this new album. How does your creative process usually work and what is the main element that cannot be missing in your music?

My creative process comes from my will, I never force myself to write something. It happens randomly and I always respect that moment, I can be wherever I want to compose, I’ll stop what I’m doing and focus on that. And the main element that cannot be missing is my truth, my experience. I write what I live and I sing to live. It’s my therapy.

Her new album addressed the good and bad parts of relating to other people, as well as butterflies, blossoming love, sex, fear, ending and getting over it. Did the narrative of this album come from a real experience?

The narrative of my album is a 100% true story. I write about my relationships, but the last one in particular comes to the fore. In ’Intense and Exaggerated’’ I start the focused narrative of this last relationship and drag this story to ‘’Arte’’. I had an album finished before I met him. The middle and end of the album took a different path, but when we finished it, I didn’t feel that ending matched what I felt at the time, it was a happy ending for a person who was feeling broken. So, as I was already composing, I talked to the team and we changed the last five songs so that the narrative of the album was as true as possible. I intend to show the other five to the public soon.

In the case of the tracks, it is perishable that they narrate a chronological order of events, bringing a story with a beginning, middle and end. What do you hope audiences feel when listening to your work?

As much as the album is completely personal and focused on my love experiences, these feelings are not exclusive. Everyone has loved and suffered for someone and turned it around (or is doing it). So I hope people listen, feel compatibility, connect. I read a lot of messages about the transition from ”A Gente Get Lost” to ”Arte”, which generates a feeling of strength for them to also be able to turn around. In the end, for me, that’s the most important thing, I’ve always found a lot of strength in the songs of other artists and today, providing that to other people with my art means consolidating my work, it goes far beyond numbers, it’s the certainty that I I’m in the right way.

Within its musicality, you can float on various styles, from pop to rock and from love to hate. Do you believe that one of the main characteristics of an artist is versatility?

I think the main characteristic of an artist is to be able to transmit a feeling with his art, in my case the versatility of pop to rock was something natural. Love led us to pop, just as hate led me to rock. I go where my feelings guide me and it will never be different.

Before starting your independent career, you started recording covers of other artists, such as Cazuza, Pitty and Barão Vermelho on Instagram. What currently inspires you as an artist?

My inspirations remain the same with Cazuza being the main source. My mother is a big fan and I think that feeling has passed. I remember watching the movie and listening to the songs together. The more time passed, I understood the impact that Cazuza was and still is today.

You are currently doing a mini tour in collaboration with @pacifylyrics, famous LGBTQIA+ pages. How has this partnership been?

It’s been a long-standing partnership, I’ve known Jefferson (@eupacify creator of Pacy) for over 7 years, we have a great friendship, we’re family and we even live together! As soon as our careers became profitable, we programmed ourselves and brought him to Rio de Janeiro. The idea of the collaborative tour is the best of both worlds: where we can throw a themed party with @pacifylyrics memes and at one point offer the full experience of my album to the public. We have a dj specialized in the pop scene, Firminø (@itsfirmino) who was the perfect match to serve many hits on the nights, besides him we also have Bell (@bellveira) who takes care of all the communication and meeting with the fans locals, and Gusta (@gustarrista) our guitarist who makes all the difference at the time of the show. Being able to work together with them on this tour is very special and always very fun, after all, before professionalism, we are friends.
