The third season of “The Masked Singer Brasil” has been a growing success and has made many people laugh with the participation of Ivete Sangalo and Silvio Ple, the stage assistant played by Pedro Passari. In addition to being an actor, announcer, presenter and content creator, Pedro is celebrating the prominence that his character has had since the end of the second season.

Like many artists, Pedro Passari had to go a long way to reach his art. Although he entered the artistic world at the age of 12, when he took his first theater course, the artist even took the medical entrance exam, graduated in Social Communication and worked in marketing for one of the largest multinational companies headquartered in Brazil. It wasn’t until the age of 27 that he decided to follow his artistic streak and abandon the corporate career.

In addition to playing Silvio Ple, Pedro Passari is building an extensive curriculum. As an announcer, he is the voice behind several advertisements, such as Paypal and Carrefour. As an actor, he appeared in the digital series “Home Office” and will make his debut in Star+’s “Desejos SA”. In 2020, he played the iconic gay character Sérgio Pompeu in the Steampunk series “A Todo Vapor”, on Amazon Prime.

As a content creator, Pedro developed the painting “Meu Terapeuta Tá de Férias”, which has been growing in popularity along with Silvio Ple. “The picture emerged during the pandemic. I’ve been in therapy for years and I love it, but I want to make it clear that it’s just humor – I’m not a therapist, although there are those who believe it”, says Pedro about the success in which he chooses a question from a follower to give humorous answers. Considered one of the most popular reality shows of the moment, “The Masked Singer Brasil”, and in its third season, success has been increasing. How are your expectations for this new phase?

It is a joy to be able to participate in such a delightful program as The Masked Singer Brasil. The other seasons were pretty cool, but the whole story of bringing Silvio Ple to the scene in the third season was a unique experience. In addition to being able to share the scene with Ivete Sangalo and the wonderful judges, off screen I also had a very good receptivity. Now it’s time to keep working to entertain the public and hope we have a new season of The Masked Singer Brasil and be able to show even more of Silvio Ple to the public.

During production, his role as Silvio Ple, Ivete Sangalo’s stage assistant, already brought a lot of laughs. How was his entry into the program and especially, how is it to share the stage with the singer?

I entered the first season at the invitation of Mari Nogueira, choreographic producer, and Kátia Barros, choreographic director of the program. That’s because, who made the security guards, were the dancers. From the second season I was invited directly by the production of The Masked. With the creation of Silvio Ple for the third season, the interactions with Ivete and the judges were very intense. Being on stage with Ivete is playing on stage all the time. She responds to all the proposals I make and is also the whole time creating something out of the script, like when in the carnival episode she changed her own music for Silvio to enter on top of the trio, saying “arerê, the trio is bringing Silvio Ple ”. It was incredible to have worked with people as generous as Ivete and the judges.

Thanks to the character’s friendliness, his audience has increased considerably on social media, including being recognized on the streets. How has the public reception been?

It was a pleasant surprise when Silvio started to gain space on the show and I started to receive messages like “I finally found you” or read on Twitter “I would love to know the name of the actor who plays Silvio Ple”. As The Masked Singer Brasil is a program for the whole family, I receive messages from people of all ages. The other day I was at a samba and I was approached by a fan who loved watching the show with his grandmother. I thought it was great to know that the program provides this type of family time, so rare and special these days.

Speaking of social networks, with a quick search on Twitter, it’s easy to find several quotes about you, including talking about crush! What is the most memorable moment you remember having spent with a fan?

The first time I left the recording studio and some people in the audience approached me and asked to take a picture, it was a very iconic moment, because that’s when I understood that the character was gaining a size that I had not imagined and I was very happy. And there was the day I was approached on the street by a fan who insisted that I say who had won the program and she was very disappointed because, obviously, I didn’t tell her (laughs).

One of those responsible for his character is producer Eduardo Sterblitch, who even talked about how Silvio became a big surprise on the show. Did you also expect that the character would take on this proportion?

I had no idea! It was when I arrived to record the first episode and they told me that I would have a ticket just for Ivete to introduce myself that I began to understand what could happen. From then on, they put me on top of an electric trio, they made me jump into a well, dance “shark, I love you” with Ivete “in the shower” and so many other things created by the scriptwriters that all that was left for me was to throw myself into the scene and enjoy the moment. I believe that being fully present in the scene certainly made the difference for the public, directors, judges and Ivete to like my work.

In one of your statements, you said that Silvio was born quite naturally. How was the process of building this character?

As in the second season I came in to take some tips as an unknown security guard, without having specific guidance on how the character should behave, I ended up putting many of my elements there as Ivete gave me some space. When Silvio Ple arrived in the third season, I understood that the character would be more interesting if he was more friendly than brave, so I was able to explore more of my personal characteristics, such as good humor, curiosity and spontaneity. Of course, I didn’t fail to put a good dose of caricature, since the program allows this joke on the scene!

Crossing the television screen, you ended up idealizing the painting “Minuto de français with Silvio Ple” in a very humorous way. Where did the idea for the painting come from?

A little before we started recording another episode, I went to say hello to Ivete and she, always very generous and wanting to help me grow as a character, said that I could create a painting teaching French or something like that. It took me a few weeks to come up with the idea of a painting that I would like and feel comfortable doing, since I’m not a French teacher and the real focus of the show is to entertain the public. This is how the “Français Minute with Silvio Ple” was born!

One of the curiosities about your life is that before devoting yourself 100% to art, you worked in Unilever’s marketing sector. How was this transition from offices to the stage?

Stages have been present in my life since I was very young. My first professional show was at age 15. But I had a period of “dormancy” for the actor Pedro Passari while I studied social communication and worked with Marketing. It was in 2010, when I returned to study theater at a school for musicals, that this spark was rekindled. From then on, I was restless and without ceasing to give a smile when I remembered me on stage. In 2012 I couldn’t take it anymore, I planned myself financially and went to dedicate myself completely to the theater. And after 11 years I ended up on Globo’s small screens (laughs)!
