With a confident attitude and a captivating personality, singer-songwriter Nanda Salles revealed her essence in her newest single “Te Acho”, released on all music platforms. In this second launch of her career, the artist from Campinas brought a fun night where the power was in her hands.

Nanda Salles is passionate about pop and reggaeton, and has explored these sounds in her new work. “This song brings a lively, dancing and sensorial vibe, but always with my personality”, highlighted the singer. During writing, the idea came up for a story in which Nanda went to a club and was so good with herself that no romantic interest would affect her. Hence came the joke present in the song: “if I change my mind, I’ll find you”. Nanda’s first single, “Ninguém Mais”, has already accumulated almost 20,000 plays.

The composition of “Te Acho” marked a moment of self-knowledge and decision-making for Nanda. She wants to convey this message to her followers, showing that everyone has the power to decide what they want for themselves. The music video for the song was produced and directed by Flic Films, and was recorded at Doka Bar, a nightclub in Campinas (SP). “When I thought of a place to record, the Doka Bar immediately came to my mind, as it had all the characteristics I wanted for the clip. The result was incredible!”, concluded Nanda Salles.

Nanda Salles, born in Campinas (SP), is a singer and songwriter who has always been connected with art since her childhood. At the age of 12, she decided to pursue a career in music and discovered that singing was a way to express her emotions and connect with people. With five years of professional career and presence on social networks, Nanda recently released her first authorial single, “Ninguém Mais”, and is preparing for the next releases that will boost her career.

How did the idea of composing the song “Te Acho” come about? What was the inspiration behind the lyrics and musical style chosen?

The song Te Acho came from a phase in my life when I was rediscovering myself, empowering myself and bringing that side that I decide what I want and when I want it, and not people choosing it for me. And I wanted to bring this to those who accompany me, this joke that someone can say and want everything, but in the end, who decides what they want is myself and period. I’ve always been in love with the reggaton style of music, and more and more I wanted to put this in my work and explore this musical genre mixing with pop, which finally when the idea for the composition came up, this combination of style and lyrics was automatic.

How would you describe your artistic growth since the release of your first single until now? What were the main lessons you learned in this process?

I think that since my first release I’ve noticed an incredible reception from fans, from new people arriving, family and friends, who really connected with my music and want more, and that makes me very happy! It was and is a whirlwind of emotions to release my own music, there is fear, but believing in my work, in what I do made all the difference in the impact I had, because I really don’t see myself doing anything else in life, I love music, I love the art of being able to express myself through it.

The video for “Te Acho” was recorded at the Doka Bar nightclub. How was the experience of filming in that environment and what atmosphere did you want to convey through the images?

I just loved recording at Doka Bar, ever since I saw that wall on the stairs with neon graffiti it was exactly what I wanted to pass on to those watching, the other environments were complementing each other and it is even a style of bar and nightclub that I I like to attend. The music and lyrics “talked” a lot with the place, and everything fell into place.

In addition to music, you also stand out as a composer. How is your creative process when writing your own songs? Are there any recurring themes in your compositions?

I usually joke and say that my compositions always come from different situations, my own experiences, good and bad. I use this to my advantage in a way, as a way to put out the things I feel, that I think, it’s even a way to close cycles and stories.

I am a person who observes a lot and keeps some things with me, and when composing is where I organize my feelings and thoughts. Also, inspirations come when I least expect it, from watching a movie, to seeing situations on the street, waking up at dawn and a lyric comes out of nowhere.

Who are your biggest musical influences and how are they reflected in your music? Are there any artists or genres you would like to explore in future work?

I’m very eclectic as much as I’m focused on pop, I love this idea of being able to mix and create a climate within music, much like they do in film soundtracks, I love this feeling, I even think that’s why I fit in both in pop, because it gives me this range and openness to explore with the songs.

Today I have some artists that I admire a lot like Becky G, Halsey, Miley Cyrus, Luísa Sonsa, Gloria Groove, Lady Gaga, among others, each one has a little of what inspires me, songs that entertain, that touch the emotional , who communicate with different situations, after all that’s life, each day is a new experience.

I joke that I deal with my 15 personalities and that is within my musical genre, in the future I want to explore more and more this side of reggaton, of pop, and see where the inspiration takes me.

The release of “Te Acho” marks a phase of rediscovery and self-confidence in her career. How does it feel to share this message with your fans and listeners?

It was and is a process of self-knowledge for me to be able to share this with my fans and with the people who follow me, I’ve always been very open to saying that it’s okay not to be okay all the time and the importance of welcoming yourself, and when I’m fine and doing things that make me happy and that shows in my work, being able to feel beautiful and healthy and that being an amazing thing.

Also because we live in a society where the demand for a perfect aesthetic is very desired, and sometimes treated as something normal, the fact that I take care of myself and feel beautiful without extremes is wonderful, and seeing people identifying with and feeling welcomed it is even more beautiful.

In addition to music, you also dedicate yourself to other artistic areas, such as dance. How do these different creative expressions complement each other in your life and career?

I always learned that art is a means of communication whatever it may be, singing, painting, theater, etc. Dancing was something that gradually became something pleasurable for me, in addition to being an extension of my music, one complements the other, however much I’m still learning. More and more I want to improve and improve this.

What are your future plans? Can we expect more music releases or special projects in the coming months?

There are definitely new projects on the way! The next release complements the other two I’ve released, and I’m telling a story in each one, I think you’ll love it too!

How would you describe your relationship with your fans? How have they influenced your musical journey and how do you involve them in your work?

I say this with tears of happiness in my eyes, I’m very lucky, because a fan is the one who supports you and I’m very grateful for the people who follow me and cheer for me these last few years, they’re really sensational! They embark on my crazy things and are part of my day to day, from bad things to good things! They believe in me and my work even when I don’t and that makes all the difference, I love to gossip and talk to them, I love interacting with each one.

Finally, what do you hope people feel and take away from listening to the song “Te Acho”? What message would you like to convey through this song?

I hope people have fun listening to my song Te Acho, this song is about empowering and feeling good about themselves, and I hope they feel it and take it into their daily lives, that they get inspired and feel amazing.
