Theo Medon, born in December 2009 in Rio de Janeiro, has followed a path of success driven by his spontaneity and artistic talent. Even though he had never considered an acting career, his artistic streak made him shine in commercial agencies, marking the beginning of a remarkable trajectory.

Emerging as a prominent name in the new generation of dramaturgy, his TV debut took place at the age of six in the soap opera “A Lei do Amor” (2016), shown by Rede Globo. Since then, its journey has been incessant. In the same year, he starred in the third season of the miniseries “Os Homens São de Marte”, which is now featured on Globoplay. In 2017, he premiered the series “Conselho Tutelar” on RecordTV. However, the peak of his career came in 2018, when he became Mário Antunes in the children’s soap opera “As Aventuras de Poliana” (SBT), which continued to delight fans through Netflix and even got a sequel, “Poliana Moça”. , until May 2023.

In addition to the television stage, Théo also broke into cinema, making his national debut in the comedy “Os Farofeiros” (2018). Her interest in theater manifested itself in 2021, when she played Gravroche in the production of “Les Miserables”, merging her passion for acting and music.

In the musical sphere, Théo also shines. He masters instruments such as guitar, electric guitar, bass, drums and piano. His presence on Spotify since 2019 led him to sign a contract with a major label in 2020. With the release of the EP “Rockstar” in 2022, containing songs composed by himself, the artist opened a new musical chapter in his career. And in 2023, after his journey on SBT, Théo expanded his focus on music, preparing releases for his eager fans.

In addition to his growing notoriety, Théo took his first steps in an international career by joining the cast of the series “Passaporte para Liberdade” (2021), a collaboration between Globoplay and Sony, which highlighted his versatile talent and earned praise from professional colleagues. On social media, Théo maintains a captivating proximity to his audience, accumulating millions of followers on Instagram, Tik Tok and Facebook, and offering insights into his life on YouTube.

In 2021, his impact on the arts and social media culminated in his winning the Prêmio Jovem Brasileiro in the Jovem do Futuro category, a testament to his brilliant career and positive influence.

How would you describe the beginning of your career in acting and entertainment? What led you to take this path?

Nowadays, I don’t remember what my life was like before being an actor. But it wasn’t something I asked for or planned. Life has planned this for me and I’m so happy for it!

You had the opportunity to act in different media, such as TV, theater and cinema. Which one do you find most challenging and why?

As theater is the area that I have least explored so far, I consider it the most challenging. Being on stage, live, without being able to repeat the scene and receive immediate feedback from the audience, gives butterflies in my stomach, but it’s something I still really want to do! I fell in love with the stage.

You played characters in several productions. Are there any characters that marked you in a special way or that you have a personal connection with?

I will still give this title of remarkable character to Mário Antunes from As Aventuras de Poliana. I learned a lot about my profession from him. He really changed my life.

In addition to acting, you also excel in the music scene. How do you balance your passions for acting and music in your career?

I realized that art is connected in all ways somehow, right? Being an actor helps me a lot when it comes to interpreting my compositions. Being a singer helps me when I go on stage at a theater, for example. In practice, to keep both careers, sometimes we need to choose. This is my music year. I’m very young, I have time to dedicate myself to everything my heart tells me to do.

Regarding the series “Passaporte para Liberdade”, which marked your first international step, how was the experience of acting in a production recorded entirely in English?

I felt confident, capable. We were in the middle of that pandemic madness, in a way everyone was feeling shaken and, suddenly, I was doing meetings in English, on a set with people from all over the world, performing with just amazing people. I am very happy for this opportunity. I hope I’ve only been the first step.

Her social media presence is notable, with millions of followers. How do you handle the constant interaction with fans and how do they influence your artistic journey?

For me, the fans part is the coolest part, I just want to share a little of what I do and what I like because of those who follow me. They inspire me to be a good guy, and my trajectory is a reference. We grow together, that’s really cool.

His EP “Rockstar” brought songs with his own participation in the composition. What is the creative process like for you when creating authentic and meaningful music?

Rockstar was my first “wing” flapping in the search for musical identity. The truth is that I have a very good team by my side. I can’t dream of talking about composition, not to mention Jéf Souza. He was the one who taught me a lot about how to get all the ideas out of your head and turn them into music. I like to tell stories with a touch of irony and I’ve been noticing that in my compositions.

You have accumulated a rich artistic baggage in a short period. What are your next steps and goals for the future, both in acting and in music?

It took five years to mend audiovisual works, so I decided to take a break and dedicate myself to music this year. While I was preparing my new job, the idea came up to get some friends together and launch a boyband. I found that possibility much more fun and tempting. We are already working on our first album. We hope to make history with this meeting. For the small screen, I’ll be back in 2024.

The “Jovem do Futuro” award in 2021 was a major milestone in his career. How did you feel to receive this recognition and what does it mean to you?

It’s really nice when you realize that people value your dedication. I felt seen, recognized as an actor. Even better when this recognition comes from the public, who gave me this award. I came from my own dreams. I feel that my achievements make young people like me believe that they can go further. After all, a boy from the suburbs of Rio, without any artistic reference in the family, dreamed and is realizing it. I find that inspiring.

What advice would you give to young artists who are starting to pursue a career in acting and music?

No success comes without dedication. It’s no use standing still waiting to fall from the sky. So, sit down with your parents, get their support, and start chasing. When opportunity knocks on the door, you have to have a differential. Study for it!
