In the musical universe, where personal experiences often overflow into forms of art, the artist known as Eu Galhardo presents an intimate invitation to his creative journey with the release of “Certo Talvez” , his latest single that promises a deep foray into doubts and personal insights. The song, which was born from a moment of reflection with the guitar in the early years of the 2000s, now arrives on digital platforms, accompanied by the expectation of a clip that promises to visually translate the emotional and symbolic charge of the song.

Kept in the artist’s memory for years, “Certo Talvez” is a reflection of Galhardo’s personal and musical evolution, who chose to share his more introspective side under the pseudonym “Eu”, marking a departure from his given name, Rafael, in favor of a more genuine and direct expression of his art. This release not only follows in the footsteps of his previous works such as “Olhe Só” and “Seja Luz”, but also stands out as one of his favorite compositions, interweaving the melancholy of intimate questions with a melody that captures the essence of the doubt between the right and the maybe.

The peculiarity of the production of “Certo Talvez” reflects Galhardo’s unique creative process, with elements such as the beat and bongos being conceived separately, but finding an unexpected harmony in the result. The symbolism of the apple, a central element of both the song and the video, emerges as a powerful symbol of the complexities of human relationships, indicating the promise of a work that seeks to explore the nuances of understanding and personal interpretation in the midst of interpersonal conflicts.

With the arrival of “Certo Talvez” and the anticipation for the corresponding clip, Eu Galhardo reaffirms his commitment to an art that is both introspective and universal, inviting listeners on a journey through the labyrinth of feelings and thoughts that defines the human condition. This release is not only an addition to the artist’s discography, but a milestone in his personal and creative evolution, promising to touch the hearts and minds of his audience with its honesty and depth.

“Certo Talvez” is one of his favorite compositions. What inspired the creation of this song and why is it so special to you?

“Right Maybe” came about at a time of turbulence in a relationship at the time. A composition that was more than 20 years old when I started composing has several moments and harmonic paths that to this day I don’t know how I arrived at.

What was the recording process like for “Certo Talvez”? Were there any specific challenges during this process?

The process took place during the pandemic and it took shape. Understanding what the levada would be like, the rhythmic driving was a challenge. The song didn’t repeat itself and told her story all at once. It was short and I decided to do the verse twice and the chorus repeated at the end as a white flag message.

You mentioned that the album cover contains references to the music video that will be released soon. Can you tell us a little more about the narrative and symbols present in this clip?

The cover reflected on the theme of the clip. The apple as the central character representing reason. Throughout the clip she is bitten and ends, leaving at the end only what is felt as the reason ends just like the apple.

What are the main themes covered in “Certo Talvez” and how do you hope the public connects with this song?

It reveals how deep the feeling is in a relationship and how much complications affect how one feels. I hope you can connect with the outcome, which values what you feel and not the causes of complications.

Throughout your career as a singer, musician, producer and composer, how do you see your artistic evolution as you embark on this solo project?

I always blame myself for not having done this sooner, but I soon realize that the time in which things happened was exact. How I feel today, more mature and certain of what I want as an artist, the way I want to do and express myself.

You mentioned that “Certo Talvez” was conceived while strumming the guitar in the early 2000s. Why did you decide to record it now, in 2019?

This song has always been part of my personal repertoire, at home, in my moments of introspection. I always wanted to record it, but it never seemed like the right time. She, like some others, was waiting for this opportunity.

What is the creative songwriting process like for you? Do you usually have a specific method or do the songs emerge more spontaneously?

I don’t really follow any rules. Generally, I create something on the guitar and then decide on the theme of the song. But sometimes, like in “Seja Luz”, the lyrics come first and the harmony and melody come much later. For me, it is important to be connected with myself and the world around to express it in some way in songs.

In addition to the music, are you involved in the production of the video for “Certo Talvez”? What are your expectations for the release of the clip?

I prepared a script for the first time, which was challenging but also rewarding. It was a new experience to turn something into a film that, until then, existed only for me and in the form of a song. I hope the clip can touch people on the purpose of the song.

What can fans expect from your first solo project and what are your future plans in music as Eu Galhardo?

My desire is for people to connect, in some way, with the messages proposed in each song. That they can reflect on their personal processes and enjoy, in some way, this point of view. I aspire to showcase the songs as much as possible, play them live and celebrate with as many people as possible. May they watch the shows with their eyes closed, looking inside, feeling and letting themselves be absorbed.
