Mia Bagley continues to enchant audiences with her multifaceted talent and commitment to the arts, establishing herself as an inspiring figure both on and off the screen.

Mia, you started acting at a very young age. Can you tell us what it was like growing up in the world of acting and what the challenges and joys of this experience were?

I feel very grateful to have grown up in the world of acting. I know that everyone’s experiences have varied but for me acting allowed me to meet people from all kinds of backgrounds and to hear their stories. It helped me learn empathy at a young age. The only challenge I can think of now is that it was a big time commitment. But I never minded because I love doing it.

In “Our House”, you acted alongside your own family. What was this experience of working in such a familiar environment like and how did it influence your performance?

Acting with your family is easier said than done. For me, it was hard to play a character that was supposed to be based on me but wasn’t exactly like me. For some reason, it was hard to play myself. And as much as I love working with my family, it makes it a bit more difficult to stay on top of things and fully commit. Luckily they are fun enough that it makes it worth it.

His video performing “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” over the course of 10 years it went viral on social media. What did this experience mean to you and what was it like seeing the audience’s reaction?

Filming Do You Want to Build a Snowman over 10 years has been so cool. As a kid, it was exciting because Frozen was new and I looked like Anna. And over the years it has been so fun to revisit the song. Completely the video was especially rewarding because I got to look back on 3 very different versions of myself. It was cool to see how my acting has developed and gratifying to read the kind comments everyone was leaving.

You are part of the “Working With Lemons” group. Can you tell us a little more about the group and what are the most memorable projects you’ve worked on?

Working WIth LEmons is my family’s YouTube channel that was started when we first recorded Do You Want to Build a Snowman 10 years ago. We started off by making covers of Disney movies and Broadway musicals. Some of my favorite projects include Scyluer Sister and A Million Dreams. But even the videos I worked as crew on were all so much fun to make.

In “Not Cinderella’s Type”, you played a very emotional role. How did you prepare for this role and what were the biggest challenges?

Not Cinderella’s Type was actually not a terribly challenging role for me but it was fun getting to play the younger version of my older sister Ari. However, last summer my family filed our first feature film called Night of Wrath which did involve some emotional scenes for me. The biggest challenge in this scene was holding back the tears. I wasn’t supposed to cry until halfway through the scene and it was quite difficult for me to control my tears and snot.

You are also known for your performance in “K-9 Adventures: A Christmas Tale”. What are your fondest memories of this project and what did you learn from it?

K-9 Adventures: A Christmas Tale was super fun for me because it was my first movie. I was just excited to be there. I have a distinct memory of being sick and being absolutely distraught that I couldn’t go to set and film. I think I even wrote a letter to some of the crew because I missed them.

Besides acting, do you have other interests or talents that you would like to explore in the future?

I frankly wish I had a few more interests besides acting but they are mostly limited to reading, plants, and cheese tasting. Out of those the only one I think I could explore further is maybe collecting more plants than I already have. Although I would need to invest in more window space first.

How do you see the future of your career in acting and are there any specific roles or genres that you haven’t tried yet but would like to try?

It’s hard to say how the future of my acting career will play out. But I hope that I will continue to have the opportunity to do cool projects. My dream projects or dream roles are any kind of period film whether it’s medieval or regency, I love all of it. Additionally, I would love to be part of a really good rom-com. I am a sucker for romance.

Working with a family certainly has its advantages and disadvantages. Can you share a funny or memorable story from working with your family members?

When I think of working with my family I think of the laughter. I think this is both an advantage and disadvantage of working with family. Obviously, it is such fun to laugh and work with my family. But sometimes we are laughing so hard that we can’t get through a take. One story I can think of is last summer we were recording ADR for our film Night of Wrath and it was just me and my sister Camrey in the booth. We were crying from laughing and could not get anything done.

Finally, what advice would you give to young aspiring actors just starting their careers?

It’s so crazy to me to be giving advice to young actors because I still feel like a kid. But I would just say to take every opportunity you get and to always be kind to everyone. One because of just common decency and also because you never know who could be connected later in life.
