Engineer Vinicius Motta , founder of proptech Minha Casa Financiada (MCF), was featured in Forbes magazine’s Under 30 list in the finance category. Created in 2019, the company works to streamline real estate financing and has already moved R$1.67 billion in credits, serving more than 4,200 customers. MCF also became responsible for 40% of Caixa Econômica’s individual financing, consolidating its position in the competitive Brazilian real estate market.

How was the process of founding Minha Casa Financiada and what were the main challenges that you and your team faced in the beginning?

The founding of Minha Casa Financiada in 2019 was driven by my vision of transforming access to credit for real estate construction in Brazil. In the beginning, the biggest challenge was to break the paradigm that real estate financing was a long and bureaucratic process, in addition to educating both clients and partners about the new possibilities we were bringing. Assembling a team aligned with this mission was crucial, especially in a scenario where many people were accustomed to more traditional solutions. We also faced resistance from financial institutions, which were not prepared for our disruptive model. However, with persistence, we were able to make billions in credit available and build a network of more than six thousand partners.

You mention that the biggest obstacle to building your own home is the lack of financial resources. How does MCF help solve this problem?

We simplify access to real estate credit in a digital and efficient way, without the traditional bureaucracy that puts many people off. Our model allows builders and customers to obtain financing in an easy way, while we act as a link between those who want to build and financial institutions. In addition, we are always looking for new ways to bring more resources to the market, to ensure that builders have access to innovative financing options, without relying solely on traditional banks.

In a competitive market with companies like Loft and Quinto Andar, what do you believe differentiates MCF and contributes to its success?

MCF’s main differentiator is that we focus on a very specific and valuable niche: the construction of custom-built homes with financing. While companies like Loft and Quinto Andar focus on buying and selling ready-made properties, we work from the design stage to the delivery of the dream home, offering complete solutions for those who want to build. In addition, our model combines entertainment, such as the reality show The Real Estate Brasil, with financial solutions, which makes us unique in the market.

With the growth of MCF and the significant volume of real estate loans handled, what are your expectations for the future of the company?

For the future, I see MCF as a reference not only in real estate financing, but also as a hub of innovation in the Brazilian real estate market. We will have important innovations in the financial market that will allow us to explore opportunities where no one has dared to go. Our focus is on high-end housing projects and on growing our presence in new markets.

You highlighted the importance of teamwork. How would you describe your team culture and dynamics at MCF?

Our team is driven by innovation and a desire to transform the real estate market. We have a collaborative culture, where everyone has a voice and the search for creative solutions is always encouraged. I believe this mindset, of always challenging the status quo, has helped us overcome barriers and grow so quickly. In addition, trust and open communication are fundamental pillars of our team.

How did it feel to be recognized in Forbes Under 30 and how did it impact your vision for the future of MCF?

Being recognized as Forbes’ Under 30 was an important validation that we were on the right track, not only because of the visibility, but also because of the impact that MCF was already generating. This reinforced my vision that we can be leaders in the real estate credit and construction market in Brazil. More than that, it motivated me to continue innovating and always seek new opportunities for growth.

Do you have any plans to expand MCF’s services or explore new areas within the real estate industry? If so, what would they be?

Yes, we are exploring ways to expand our operations internationally and increase our presence in the high-end housing segment. We are also working on solutions involving automation technology and sustainability, so that we can offer not only homes, but living experiences that meet the demands of the future.

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs who want to innovate in the real estate finance sector and face market challenges?

My main advice would be: be clear about the problem you want to solve and be tireless in seeking creative solutions. The real estate market is highly regulated and traditional, but this should not be an obstacle for those who want to innovate. Seek to form a team aligned with your vision, be resilient in difficult times and, above all, do not be afraid to challenge traditional models.
