Amandi Brown is a limitless human being, someone who has made the ultimate commitment—love. A pure and unwavering passion for living a life in harmony with the desires of his heart. For him, his children are the center of the universe, and family is essential. However, beyond that, there is a deep commitment to himself: to fight every day, to run whenever possible, and when he can’t run, to crawl with everything he has left.
This unshakable spirit was put to the test when Amandi, a Grammy-nominated musician, faced a harsh reality. At 400 pounds, struggling with sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and diabetes, he realized his quality of life was in decline. “The simple routines of adult life had turned into a cycle of bad habits that weren’t serving me,” he recalls. Nights marked by tingling in his legs and feet led him to the doctor, where he received a concerning warning: his lifestyle choices were severely compromising his health.
Determined to change, Amandi embarked on a holistic transformation that led to the creation of C.R.A.W.L., a method focused on health and wellness. Now, at 42 years old, he has cut his weight in half and no longer needs medication for high blood pressure or diabetes. He learned that it wasn’t necessary to eliminate everything he loved but rather to find balance. “I used to prioritize convenience over health. Now, I make conscious choices and prepare my meals to avoid impulsive decisions.”
This philosophy is reflected in CRAWLSPACES, facilitated spaces designed to promote peace, growth, and balance, helping people stay on track with their health goals. Amandi invites everyone to commit to their personal transformation and discover their best selves through the strength and conditioning of CRAWL Strength & Fitness. His journey is proof that change is possible and that every step, no matter how small, brings us closer to a full and healthy life.
Amandi, your transformation journey seems like an impressive story of overcoming adversity. When you were facing health difficulties, what went through your mind when you realized you needed to radically change your routine?
Realizing that my everyday routine—the normalcy I took for granted—was about to be taken from me was the wake-up call I needed to change. I grew tired of the person in the mirror, the one who constantly made excuses for not investing in his own health and wellness. Despite my fears—uncertainty about the gym, not knowing what to eat—something deep inside told me I no longer had a choice. I had to do whatever was necessary to save my life and well-being.
The change in habits was truly challenging. How was the process of making more conscious decisions, especially regarding diet and lifestyle? Was there a specific moment that made you feel like you were on the right path?
Developing the discipline to make the right choices daily was a real challenge. Instead of drastic, short-term changes, I focused on small, sustainable adjustments over time. This way, my new habits would stick. Social outings were tough, but I made conscious choices—rather than indulging in pizza, wings, and soda all at once, I’d pick one and swap the rest for healthier options. This way, I never felt deprived. Over time, these small victories built momentum, and as I saw results, I became even more motivated to set bigger goals and make better choices. The person I was becoming fueled my determination to keep pushing forward.
You created the C.R.A.W.L. method, which blends health and well-being in a unique way. What does this method represent to you, and how does it reflect your personal transformation journey?
Crawl embodies every phase of healing I had to go through to become who I am today. The philosophy behind it—“Don’t walk: Crawl, Conquer, Restore, Ascend, Win”—has been transformative, not just for me, but for others as well. It represents the mental shift required to rebuild faith in yourself, rise above self-doubt and negativity, and push past limitations. By embracing these five pillars, I found balance, freedom, and a renewed sense of purpose in my life.
In your journey, you also began to care more about quality of life, not just weight loss. How did you maintain balance between taking care of your physical health and still enjoying life’s pleasures?
As I progressed in my weight-loss journey, I realized that the negative energy driving me to keep fighting was doing more harm than good. Finding balance became essential—I had to appreciate rest and allow my body to recover. This not only improved my workouts but also gave me the mental space to be creative and envision my future. Through the Crawl method, I remind people daily that self-awareness and nurturing the mind, body, and spirit are key to real progress. All work and no play leads to misery. True growth isn’t always about eliminating things from your life but learning to control your dependency on them.

Amandi, throughout this transformation, you discovered the importance of being in harmony with your heart and passions. How has your connection with your children and family influenced this change?
My family has been my greatest support system—not just on my good days, but especially on my worst. They’ve shown compassion even through physical ailments, sickness, and other struggles. This journey has taken me down some long, dark roads, but reaching a place of harmony required deep self-reflection. I had to acknowledge how my isolation affected those around me and find the strength to ask for forgiveness. That process healed not just my body, but also my spirit. Now, standing in this place of peace, I can only thank God and my family for guiding me toward my best self—not just in wellness, but in true well-being.
C.R.A.W.LSPACES was designed to help people find peace and balance. What kind of impact do you hope these spaces will have on the lives of those who use them?
“Community is key, and the reason is we.” Crawlspaces were created as safe havens—places where like-minded individuals can find freedom and support. So much of our suffering stems from self-judgment and sabotage. Surrounding yourself with an environment that fosters healing rather than self-soothing is what truly sets you free. Choosing better is a lifelong commitment—whether it’s a mindful hike in the summer or a weekly check-in, providing resources for those struggling to make healthier choices is our ultimate goal.
Your philosophy and life story convey a powerful message that change is possible. What would you say to those starting their transformation journey who need a little push to take the first step?
From personal experience, I’ve learned that my greatest struggle in building a better life was the fear of making myself a priority. I was afraid because it felt like too much work to reach a better place. But I encourage you today—don’t worry about how far you have to go. Instead, focus on making the right choice in this moment to give yourself a better future. Some days will be hard, but you always have the choice to get back on track. I am living proof that no matter how many times you fall, if you get back up and keep going, you will win. Be encouraged—know that you are loved and supported, no matter your circumstances or past. The future isn’t here yet, but today is. Choose yourself today, and today, you can start living your best life.
