Child actress Maitê Page , just 7 years old, continues to make her mark in Brazilian drama. The young actress, who will debut on June 30th in the soap opera ” Êta Mundo Melhor” (2025), on Rede Globo, has already started filming playing the character Maroca. With work in prominent productions on TV, streaming and in advertising campaigns, Maitê is consolidating her career with versatility and talent to spare.

You started acting at such a young age and are already working on major productions. How do you balance your routine of recording, studying and being a child?

It’s really easy for me, because I love recording! I’ve always liked to play make-believe, so when I’m “working”, it feels like a big game that involves my imagination and my expression. I pretend that everything is real, as if I were really living it. And it doesn’t get in the way of school, because I’m good at the subjects and, since the recordings are in the afternoon, I have time to study properly.

In ” Êta Mundo Melhor”, you play Maroca. How did you feel when you received the news that you would be part of the cast of this important soap opera?

I always wanted to work at Globo, and every time I walked past, I would tell my mother that one day I would work there. I felt it. I did the online test for the soap opera while I was still filming the series “Juntas e Separadas”, and being accepted was a true dream come true. I am very happy!

You’ve played characters in different eras and styles — from period pieces to contemporary series. Which character has challenged you the most so far and why?

I believe it was Maria da Glória, from the series “Juntas e Separadas”, because it was a different type of recording, outside the studio. The recordings took place in a house, but we also recorded many outdoor scenes in different locations and situations.

In the series “Juntas e Separadas”, you worked with the author Thalita Rebouças. What was the experience like of acting in a text written especially for young people?

In fact, this is the first series that Thalita has made for an adult audience. There are many scenes that I don’t know if I’ll be able to watch, but there are also many others that I’m dying to watch!

You also appeared in “The Queen of Persia” and “Kings”, both with biblical themes. What is it like for you to delve into such different universes and transport the audience to these stories?

It was a very special experience! It’s like traveling back in time, because of the costumes, the sets… The set design is incredible, everything seems so real, as if I were immersed in the story, as if I were actually living in that time, only with several cameras around. It’s easy to believe in the scene, and I think that helps the audience believe it too.

When you’re not filming, what do you like to do to have fun and relax? Is there an activity that you love and that helps you recharge your batteries?

I do a lot of different things. I like playing with dolls, listening to music, watching series and movies and making a lot of paper things like paper squishy , origami, cards and everything that involves paper, glue and scissors. Yes, I also really like doing capoeira!

Many people admire your stage presence and versatility. How do you prepare for each new role and what do you do to connect with your characters?

I try to understand the character first and what is required in the preparation. Then I start to imagine how she thinks, how she feels, how she speaks… I try to put myself in her shoes. And, when I’m on set, I remember all of this and get into the mood of the scene as if it were real. And if I have an opportunity to improvise, I already know how to act, what to do.

With a career that has already accumulated so many different productions, what do you dream of for your future as an actress? Is there a role or type of story that you would really like to play?

I dream of one day playing a bigger role, as a protagonist or even an antagonist. I would love to do some film work, because I think it would be amazing to see myself on such a big screen! And, as for the type of character, I would love to play a comedy character, or an inventor who works in a laboratory and has some connection to magic, or even a pirate ! I think all of these roles would be super fun to play.
