Piracicaba native Marina Cypriano takes the most important step in her young artistic career by playing Felícia — best friend of Samir, Candinho’s son — in Globo’s new 6pm soap opera, ÊtaMundoMelhor!, which premieres on June 30th. Having settled in Rio de Janeiro since the beginning of the year to fulfill her dream of acting on television, Marina has accumulated experience in cinema, advertising partnerships, acting and singing courses, and is already preparing for challenges such as dubbing, demonstrating her versatility and dedication to the performing arts.

You moved from Piracicaba to Rio de Janeiro at a very young age in pursuit of your dream. What was it like for you to leave your city and face such a big change at such a young age?

It was a delicate process. I had to stay away from my father and some relatives, but on the other hand, I really enjoyed it, knowing that I moved to make a dream come true. And I’m loving this new phase.

Acting in a Globo soap opera at 6pm is a milestone in the career of many artists, especially playing a main character. How did you receive the news that you would be playing Felícia and what charmed you most about her?

I have no words to express my gratitude for the opportunity to be part of a Globo soap opera, playing the main role. I am very happy! I found out I would be playing Felícia through my mother. At first, I didn’t understand what the character would be like, but as time went by, I discovered it and I am loving playing her. What I love about Felícia is that she is smart, likes to play soccer and be friends.

In addition to television, you have also acted in a feature film about slavery and a short film with social themes. What goes through your mind when you are involved in stories that deal with such strong themes?

These are extremely important topics, and I end up reflecting on how these issues are fundamental for us to think about social issues.

You are super involved with several artistic languages, such as singing, dancing and even dubbing. What does each of these areas teach you about yourself?

I’m happy because I discover myself as a talented person, who can do several things at the same time and still do what I love most: acting.

Taking part in workshops with experienced artists and having a routine of artistic studies from an early age is no small feat. What do you enjoy most about these learning moments and what inspires you to continue dedicating yourself so much?

What inspires me the most is being with these trainers. I learn a lot and leave the classes wanting to learn more and more. I like to dedicate myself because I love what I do, and this whole context motivates me even more.

You also enjoy creating scripts, acting and dance videos in your free time. Where does this desire to tell stories your way come from?

Through experiences with my parents. My father is a musician and worked in the arts for several years. I started dancing and then discovered other skills while playing at home. I made videos of myself, then watched them, and that’s how I started creating scenes and short miniseries. I filmed, directed and edited them myself.

You are working closely with big names in television and participating in a highly anticipated project. How has this exchange with other actors been and what do you feel you have learned the most behind the scenes?

I feel very happy, because I’m learning a lot and it’s been a wonderful exchange. I feel like I’m fulfilling a dream. On top of everything, meeting artists that I used to only see on TV, and now being able to meet them backstage, has been really cool. For example, I’m really happy when I meet Heloísa Périssé.

Even though you are so young, your career already shows a lot of dedication and passion for the arts. What do you dream of experiencing from now on , both in your career and in your personal life?

In my professional life, I dream of continuing to develop more and more in the artistic field. And, in my personal life, I want to be able to help my parents, who believe so much in me.
