Isabelle Hahn lights up the screen as Apple Moon, the bold and unpredictable wildcard of Chasing Cupid. With razor-sharp comebacks and a no-holds-barred attitude, her performance is one of the show’s most unforgettable.
Created by Lauren Davidi and Hillary Lewis, Chasing Cupid leans into unscripted energy, awkward dating moments, and the beauty of flawed friendships. As Apple Moon, Isabelle Hahn brings fire and fun to every scene — but also surprises viewers with emotional depth.
Isabelle’s fearless approach to comedy and her strong presence make Apple one of the most magnetic characters in the series, helping Chasing Cupid stand out in the ever-growing landscape of digital storytelling.
Apple Moon is a name as unique as her personality. What do you love most about her?
She’s confident, bold, and unapologetically herself.
What was the biggest challenge in portraying such a bold and spirited character?
Apple is fiery, and fiercely independent. She starts off the show with strong friendships, but when she meets Sofia she’s a little abrasive with her confidence. My personality is a bit different and I’m always striving for everyone to feel included. She’s not a mean girl by any means, but she’s just more brash than I am.
How do you see the role of comedy in exploring themes like self-esteem, identity, and romance?
These topics can feel really intense and personal, sometimes even scary! Comedy gives us a safe, relatable way to explore them. It’s like laughing with your best friend about something embarrassing that actually really matters to you. I love using humor to show the messy parts of life. That’s where truth lives.
Chasing Cupid uses a lot of Gen Z language. Did you relate to this world, or was it new to you?
Hahaha are you calling me out for being an elder Gen Z? I can definitely relate, even being one of the older girls in the cast. I think it’s important to have dialogue that reflects the times. Since our target audience is Gen Z, we should definitely be speaking like them.
Apple has such contagious energy. What’s the most memorable feedback you’ve received from someone who watched the show?
Someone DMed me and said watching these characters was like watching their friends on screen, and that’s the magic of a show like this! The show is loud and messy and full of feelings, but it’s also about owning all of that.
What did playing this character teach you about yourself?
Playing Apple is teaching me to stop apologizing for taking up space.
