São Paulo-based band Dona Olga released the single “Te Ver Feliz” on September 26th, available on all music apps via Marã Música. The track, which arrives in acoustic format and is produced by Pedro Verona, also features a music video recorded in São Thomé das Letras, Minas Gerais, the result of an artistic immersion that combined music, landscape, and collective experiences.
“Te Ver Feliz” was born during a sleepless night, surrounded by uncertainty and desire. What was it like transforming such an intimate moment into something collective, now shared by so many people?
It’s really cool to see how the message is received differently by each listener, and how so many situations can be viewed with more lightheartedness. We hope that many people will listen to and enjoy the song, just as we did.
The song speaks to the contrast between joy, fear, and love. What personal or collective experiences most influenced you in translating these feelings into song?
Two individual experiences stand out in the creation of this song. One is the romantic relationship of one of the members, and the other is the recent fatherhood of another. They are different situations, with different insecurities about the future, but they all culminate in love and the desire for everything to be okay.

The acoustic format brought a special delicacy to the track. What motivated this choice, and how do you see the relationship between sonic simplicity and emotional depth?
Initially, we had a different idea for how the song would be produced, but we decided to go with Pedro’s production, which turned out to be a VERY good fit for the song. We realized that with a lighter style, the message comes across more fluidly, and the melody of the vocals is even more captivating.
The music video was filmed in São Thomé das Letras, a place known for its mystical and artistic atmosphere. How did the setting and your experience there influence the creation and final result of the video?
The video is literally a reflection of our entire experience in this atmosphere. We were able to feel and share this connection, living the music and art for days! Seeing the final result captured by Paul Domingos only makes us feel nostalgic and want to return to this experience and relive these special moments.

You say the video goes beyond the music, capturing a transformative experience. What was the most memorable moment of this artistic immersion that you’ll cherish forever?
It’s a sum of many special and memorable moments, but we will always remember the moments when music and landscapes connected with us.
“Te Ver Feliz” is also an invitation to see life with a lighter touch. How does this message connect with the band’s current situation and the challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being an independent artist is always a challenge, involving expectations and desires at every moment, whether in the past, present, or future. Being more relaxed and connected is a path we choose on our journey, because we believe this will lead to a happier life.

Since 2019, Dona Olga has released an album, an EP, several singles, and performed over 50 shows. What do you think has changed the most about you as artists and as people during this time on the road?
Everyone has a process and an evolution when we compare ourselves to the first song, when we look back at the first show… It’s clear that in this process we become better musicians and better partners with each other. And we’re always connecting, in order to understand and translate these changes and these individual moments into our identity and our songs.
The launch marks an important step for your presence on the national stage. What is Dona Olga’s biggest dream that still drives you and that you hope to achieve in the coming years?
We continue to pursue our dream of reaching more and more people with our music. The feeling of finding people who identify with our sound and our message is indescribable. We want to experience this more in other cities, other states, on other stages, countries, and wherever music takes us.
