Psychologist Marcela Amaral received the Women Who Shine Magazine award in recognition of her impact on mental health and neurodiversity. With over two decades of clinical experience, Marcela has established herself as a leading voice in the contemporary debate on this topic in Brazil.

A specialist in neuropsychology and mental health, with an MBA in Human Resources Management, Marcela combines scientific knowledge, clinical practice, and digital innovation to expand the reach of psychology in society. Her work includes treating patients with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and ADHD, as well as supporting adults with burnout, depression, generalized anxiety, and other disorders.

This recognition also reflects her editorial output. In December 2025, Marcela will release two co-authored books. The first, published by Rio de Janeiro-based publisher iMulheres, will address the female universe and its multiple dimensions. The second, Voices of Neurodiversity, will be published by Chave Mestra, the largest co-authored publishing house in Latin America, and will be launched in São Paulo. The book brings together reflections on advances and challenges related to neurodiversity, bringing together perspectives that unite science, inclusion, and innovation.

In addition to her clinical and editorial work, Marcela also stands out as a digital strategist, developing projects that connect psychology, neuroscience, and technology. This intersection has made her a reference in new ways of bringing scientific knowledge to the public.

Upon receiving the award, Marcela emphasized that the recognition reflects a collective cause: “This award isn’t just mine. It symbolizes the efforts of everyone who believes that mental health should be at the center of discussions in our society.”
