Hailing from Venezuela, sisters Estefany & Gabriely are winning over Brazilian audiences with a style that blends the warmth of Latin rhythms with the irreverence and emotion of brega. With their project “Brega Latino,” the duo has been gaining notoriety on tour and social media, bridging cultures and demonstrating that music knows no borders.

Their success is the result of a journey marked by challenges and reinvention. Since arriving in Brazil, the artists have transformed cultural shock into inspiration, creating an identity that celebrates both their roots and the country that welcomed them. “Music unites cultures, people, and languages—and it’s an honor for us to bring this fusion to the Latin world,” they say.

Now, with the support of Pablo’s management, the King of Arrocha, Estefany & Gabriely are experiencing a new phase in their career, preparing new projects and international tours that promise to take the contagious rhythm of “Latin brega” even further.

You represent a unique blend of cultures. How did these two origins come together—and how does this Latin and Brazilian fusion shape your essence as a duo?

This encounter arose from the moment we left our country and arrived here in Brazil, where we had our first contact with Brazilian culture. The rhythms and lyrics of the music were pleasing to our ears, and we fell in love. This fusion further highlights our Latin essence.

The style you’ve created stands out for combining the warmth of brega with the energy of Latin rhythms. How did this idea come about, and what does this genre mean to you?

We always wanted to mix Latin and Brazilian rhythms, until the opportunity knocked on our door and we embraced it; and we also had the honor of having an incredible team that developed this fusion of rhythms with us.

Taking Latin-Brazilian music to different countries must be an intense experience. What has been the biggest lesson learned from singing for such diverse audiences and seeing the music transcend borders?

Along the way, we learned that music is capable of uniting cultures, people, rhythms, languages, and it is a huge honor for us to bring this union to the Latin world.

You’ve been making a name for yourself with live shows and international tours. Is there a specific performance or moment that has left a lasting impression on you throughout this journey?

Our partnership with Pablo’s (the king of arrocha) management company was the most memorable moment for us because it marks a new chapter in our artistic career, and it’s a great demonstration of how our language and culture have been embraced and welcomed in Brazil.

Entering the Brazilian market from Venezuela presents unique challenges. What were the biggest barriers you faced—and what helped you establish yourself here?

The biggest challenge was learning the Portuguese language, learning to communicate and sing; on the other hand, what helped us establish ourselves the most was our native language, now present in this Latin brega project.

Instagram and streaming are great allies for independent artists. How do you use social media to connect with your audience and keep that “Latin kitsch” identity alive?

We use these great tools to our advantage to expand and showcase our unique style so that it can be seen and heard by more people. We feed our networks with covers in our Latin brega style, thus keeping our identity alive. We also respond to comments from our fans and constantly interact with them in our stories.

Being a duo involves harmony and partnership. What’s your relationship like behind the scenes—and what unique things does each of you bring to the sound and the project?

We believe that because we’re sisters, we’ve always had a strong connection, a lot of partnership, and a good relationship in our daily lives. This makes the work environment easier, and everything feels light behind the scenes thanks to our joy and personalities.

What are Estefany & Gabriely’s next steps? Can we expect new releases, collaborations, or perhaps an even bigger expansion of the Brega Latino World Tour?

We certainly intend to do many national and international tours, make many guest appearances, create new projects that will make our name known, and thus expand this “Brega Latino” project.
