At 13, actress Giulia Daflon has been making a name for herself in the artistic world with a career marked by dedication and talent. Currently, she plays the character Maria Pureza in TV Globo’s 6 p.m. soap opera, Êta Mundo Melhor, written by Walcyr Carrasco, playing the sister of Maria Divina (Castorine) and the romantic interest of Picolé (Isaac Amendoim).
With a solid background in theater and preparation for TV and film, Giulia began her artistic journey as a child at “Espaço Entre,” under the guidance of professor Cristina Bethencourt, and has been studying at the Actors’ Laboratory with Camila Curty since 2020. Her resume includes appearances in films such as A Vida de Cada Um (2023) and Álibi (2025), as well as campaigns for Disney, Vivo, and Seanite.
Promising and versatile, Giulia is emerging as one of the new talents in Brazilian television drama, combining experiences in theater, film and television, and showing that her career is just beginning.
Giulia, you started in theater at a very young age. What made you fall in love with acting and realize that this was the path for you?
I’ve always loved movies and TV shows, and since I was little, I’ve always imitated the characters. My parents recognized my strong artistic side and decided to enroll me in an agency and in theater. And so I fell more and more in love with acting and realized that this was truly my path.
In “Êta Mundo Melhor,” you play Maria Pureza, a character full of sweetness and charisma. What do you love most about her, and what did you learn from playing her?
Maria Pureza is a girl with a strong, determined and affectionate personality and that is what I really love about her, as we have very similar personalities.
Working alongside television greats like Walcyr Carrasco and Castorine must be a remarkable experience. What inspires you most about this collaboration?
I feel very honored to have the opportunity to work and perform alongside such incredible artists. I’m deeply inspired by them and I’m thrilled to be able to exchange ideas and learn from them as well.

You’ve appeared in films, TV series, and plays. Which of these languages challenges you the most, and why?
I love and appreciate all these languages, and each one presents a different challenge and process. And that’s why I’m increasingly falling in love with acting.
Many people start acting as children, but not everyone maintains their passion for the profession. What motivates you to keep going and dream bigger?
What motivates me to continue is remembering all my dreams and goals that I want to achieve with my profession, in addition to everything I still have and want to learn.
At just 13 years old, you’ve already had an impressive career. What dreams and characters would you still like to portray in the future?
My biggest dreams for the future are to go to film school and become a director in addition to acting. I’d also like to play characters who are different from myself and who challenge me to study and practice even more.

How do you balance acting with school and leisure time? Is there a secret to managing it all?
On the days I don’t record, I study, catch up on homework, organize school activities, and have fun with my friends. This way, I can handle everything with ease and without worrying too much.
Do you believe that, even at a young age, art has the power to transform and inspire others? How would you like audiences to feel when they see you on stage?
My biggest goal on stage is to touch the audience. It’s to make the audience immerse themselves and be moved by the story I’m telling. And I’d like to inspire people not to give up, not to abandon their dreams. The journey isn’t easy; there will be many no’s. But believe that each one will make you learn even more. And always, always stay focused on your dreams and goals and study harder.
