São Paulo-based band Névula , one of the most promising new generation of Brazilian rock acts, began a new chapter in its trajectory with the release of the single “Recomeço,” available since September 19th on all digital platforms via Marã Música. The track marks the kickoff to the group’s next studio album—an ambitious project featuring ten new songs—and reinforces its sonic identity that combines strength, melody, and authenticity.
Exploring the theme of life’s cycles, “Recomeço” reflects on letting go, courage, and personal transformation, translating the search for reconstruction and self-knowledge into sound. Recorded collaboratively, the song features powerful arrangements and a music video directed by Du Firmo, which features footage captured during various performances by the band and conveys the visceral energy of their shows.
Formed by Bruno Santos (vocals), Fabiano Tenente (guitar), João Bustamante (bass), and Fernando Marreta (drums), Névula quickly established itself in the São Paulo scene by combining pop and rock influences with lyrics about human relationships and self-esteem. The group has performed at venues such as the São Paulo Cultural Center and the Arthur Azevedo Theater, winning over critics and audiences alike—and now, with “Recomeço,” they signal an even more promising future.
What does “Recomeço” mean to you personally? Is there anything you’ve needed to restart in your own life recently that connects with the single?
Starting over is something that happens all the time to everyone. The song aims to raise awareness of the importance of understanding the messages we receive when one cycle ends and another begins. The band underwent a lineup change, bringing in Bruno Santos as the new vocalist, and experiencing the emotions of a new beginning.
The song was born from live studio sessions. How did this collective process influence the final result? Were there any moments of creative divergence that ultimately strengthened the song?
Creative disagreements are, at their core, the sum of efforts toward a single goal. Over time, we learn to understand each other’s dynamics and then start over whenever necessary.

Is the message of letting go and the courage to move forward something audiences need to hear today? What do you hope to inspire in people when they hear the track?
Yes, without a doubt. Especially given the growing challenges related to mental health. In a world marked by loss, rapid change, and constant pressure, many people face anxiety, depression, emotional exhaustion, and difficulty dealing with the past. It is in this context that we place the message of starting over.
The video was filmed over two months of shows and rehearsals. What was most memorable about the recordings? Was there a memorable behind-the-scenes moment?
We played our first show with our new vocalist Bruno Santos at Virada Cultural, one of the shows captured for the music video. The feeling of starting over was incredibly special, especially playing “recomeço” for the first time within the context of this band change.

You’re a band that combines strength, melody, and accessibility. How do you balance the energy of rock with your commitment to radio play and connecting with diverse audiences?
Music is our center of gravity. Everything else revolves around music. This idea of being radio-friendly and having rock energy is natural for us because Névula has truth in its music and attitude. And the audience notices it.
The next album will feature ten new tracks. Can you give us a spoiler of what fans can expect from this new phase? Are there any themes or sounds you haven’t explored yet that will be included on this album?
Fans can expect a radio-friendly Névula, full of energy and addressing issues that impact people’s lives.

Névula has performed on major stages in São Paulo. What’s it like to feel the response from live audiences and hear your lyrics sung in unison?
It’s incredibly rewarding to watch the audience sing along to the songs. We’ve received many messages from people who say they were touched by the lyrics or the sound, and it made them reflect on their lives. That’s what we see from the stage when we watch them sing! Lives being transformed by music!
Regis Tadeu praised the band’s performance and featured you on “Rock Brazuca.” What was it like receiving this recognition from such a respected critic and seeing your music reach new listeners?
Régis is one of the most knowledgeable people about music in Brazil. He’s extremely professional, intelligent, and truthful in his criticism. We truly believe in the truth we convey in our music and are thrilled to have Régis’s endorsement.
