In 2025, fashion journalist and influencer Laine Furtado received the prestigious America Awards in the category International Influencer – Fashion Content, a distinction that celebrates excellence in digital and journalistic content creation within the fashion universe. Produced by Mídia América under the coordination of Vanessa Caetano, the award highlights professionals who make meaningful contributions to the international fashion and communication landscape.
This recognition marks a milestone in Laine’s career. While she already has a well-established trajectory in journalism as the editor of Linha Aberta magazine, this is the first time she has been officially honored specifically for her work as a fashion digital influencer. In 2025, she developed consistent editorial content grounded in information, analysis, and curation, addressing fashion, style, and travel with a strong sense of identity, as well as covering Paris Fashion Week and participating in events of international relevance.
The trophy presented to Laine was produced by Society Awards, a company internationally recognized for creating iconic statuettes for prestigious ceremonies such as the Oscar®, Grammy®, and Emmy®, reinforcing the symbolic and institutional significance of the award.
Upon receiving the honor, Laine dedicated the recognition first and foremost to God, to her husband Joe Souza, to her followers, and to all who share the same passion: fashion as information, culture, and expression. According to the journalist, the award not only acknowledges individual achievements but also reinforces the importance of producing relevant content with editorial quality and authenticity, connecting fashion and journalism in a deep and inspiring way.
