Sylvestra Bianchi releases EP “Live Session” and celebrates a new phase with live versions of her Cosmic Rock

On December 5th, Sylvestra Bianchi presented the EP “Live Session” to the public, a live recording that captures the intimate atmosphere of her pocket show recorded at Estúdio Arbol Music, in São Bernardo do Campo (SP). Featuring four striking original tracks — “Adoça a Alma”, “Aroeira em Aruanda”, “Do Rock ao Cosmos” and “Está Difícil se Relacionar” — the project, produced by Marã Música, arrives on music streaming platforms after its successful video debut on YouTube. For the artist, the EP faithfully translates the emotional delivery and truth of that day: “It was a very special moment.”

The work reveals a more organic facet of Sylvestra’s Cosmic Rock, highlighting natural interpretations, unprecedented nuances, and the strength of the harmony built live with Lucas Sangalli (drums), Zé Nelson (12-string guitar), and Leomaristi (bass). Before recording, the group rehearsed intensely in Curitiba and traveled together to São Paulo to record the performance, which took place in a welcoming and symbolic setting—an acoustically prepared library, decorated with artificial ivy and illuminated by the artist’s logo. Each take reinforces the concept of closeness between stage and soul, central to the singer’s aesthetic construction.

The Live Session also marks Sylvestra’s return to the stage after the pandemic hiatus, inaugurating a phase of reconnection with the public and expansion of her live presence. After the project’s video premiere, she opened the Conecta+ Música e Mercado 2025 fair on the Yamaha stage and reaffirmed her commitment to messages of spirituality, self-knowledge, and well-being. “It’s a way to show the public how my music breathes on stage. I hope it further strengthens our connection,” she celebrates. The videos from the session are already available on her official YouTube playlist.

The “Live Session” was recorded in a carefully prepared environment — with a library, artificial ivy, and your logo illuminated in LED lights throughout the studio. What feeling did you want this setting to evoke in the audience and in yourself while you were singing?

In the Live Session, I wanted to capture the essence of Cosmic Rock, a style I created to unite music and spirituality. That’s why I chose a welcoming space, with natural elements, a library in the background, and my LED logo illuminating the studio’s vibe. This setting evokes a feeling of well-being, wisdom, and presence, both in the audience and in myself and the musicians during the recording. I believe the environment directly influences the energy of what we deliver, so I wanted everyone to feel peace, warmth, and a genuine connection with the music.

You describe the EP as a moment of “great surrender and truth.” In which of the four tracks do you feel that truth appears in the most raw, most intimate way—and why?

My music producer, Leomaristi, always reminds me that the strength of my art lies in singing my inner truth. And I truly give myself completely to it: I compose in connection with my soul and with spirituality, which always guides me in creating the lyrics, so there is a very deep coherence between what I feel and what I express in the songs.

Each track reveals a layer of this truth, but in different ways. “Adoça a Alma” (Sweeten the Soul) is where my vulnerability appears as healing, an intimate conversation with myself. “Aroeira em Aruanda” (Aroeira in Aruanda) brings the voice of spirituality, reminding me to keep the strength and creativity pulsing in my art. “Do Rock ao Cosmos” (From Rock to Cosmos) is my most expansive truth, an astral journey that illuminates consciousness. And “Está Difícil se Relacionar” (It’s Hard to Relate) shows the most human side, acknowledging the pains and challenges we all face when trying to relate to the world and to ourselves.

Ultimately, each song is a reflection of a piece of my soul, some softer, some deeper, but all true.

This project marks your return to the stage after the pandemic hiatus. What was it like to rediscover your own body and voice in a live show format after this silent period?

This period away from the stage was both challenging and transformative. I grew a lot as an artist and as a person: I honed my singing, faced my fears, reorganized my team, and learned to trust in time and let go of control, allowing each stage of the musical creation to happen at its own pace. It was a process of faith, patience, surrender, and overcoming obstacles.

Recording the Live Session was deeply emotional. But it was also intense: it required many rehearsals, financial planning, and enormous inner strength to overcome each obstacle. When I finally entered the studio, I felt my body and voice reborn in that live format.

This year symbolized that comeback in a very special way. Besides the Live Session, I had the joy of opening the Yamaha stage at Conecta+ Música & Mercado, the biggest music fair in Brazil, and we performed our first non-acoustic show, an important milestone in my career. Now we’re going to close the year with a performance at Mystic Fair in São Paulo, in a more intimate show, which ends this year with much gratitude!

The Live Session versions sound more organic and reveal new nuances. Did any of these nuances surprise you? Was there anything you only noticed about your own music when you sang it in this new format?

In this process of vocal maturation, which began way back with my first song, “Lightworkers,” in 2019, I’ve always sought to find a lighter voice, more connected to well-being, both for myself and for those who listen to me. And, while recording the Live Session, I clearly perceived this lightness manifesting itself. It brought an organic quality that made everything more pleasant and genuine.

At the beginning of my artistic project, I was very focused on rock, drawing a lot of inspiration from other singers. But this also distanced me a bit from my soulful singing, from my natural way of expressing music, which is softer and more intuitive. With a lot of vocal study, self-knowledge, and dedication, I managed to rediscover that essence.

And it was in this live format that this discovery became most evident: nuances that I had never noticed before emerged in my interpretation and surprised me in a very positive way. What you hear today is the result of this rediscovery of myself.

You and the musicians held several rehearsals in Curitiba before traveling to São Paulo exclusively for the recording. What moments of this collective process stood out to you and made you feel that “Cosmic Rock” was taking shape there?

I remember in January of this year, in a meeting with Rike from Marã Música, we set the goal of doing a Live Session, and from there everything started to take shape.

In meetings with Leomaristi and Marã, we defined the musicians, chose the location, organized the instruments, and in the blink of an eye we were already in a series of rehearsals. We rehearsed to the point where we were ready to arrive in São Paulo and record three complete sequences of the show to capture the audio and video, without the need for pauses or doubts about execution. Since we went to and returned from Curitiba to São Paulo on the same day, we didn’t have time for mistakes.

When I arrived at Arbol Music Studio, it finally dawned on me that I had overcome all the obstacles to resuming live performances. And when I heard the audio mixed by Chapola, I was certain that I was ready for new shows and that the material exceeded my expectations.

Your music has a strong connection to spirituality, well-being, and self-knowledge. How did this spiritual dimension guide the recording of the Live Session? Was there any intuition or perception that changed the course of anything in the studio?

The spiritual dimension guided the entire Live Session process. Even before arriving at the studio, I experienced a profound period of conversations with God, with spirituality, and with the universe, asking for clarity and open paths to resume my shows. In previous years, we tried to move forward, but obstacles always arose, so I needed to greatly strengthen my faith. Last year, I even took a practical course on the law of attraction, which helped me align my energy with this new phase.

In the months leading up to the recording, I maintained an intense routine of meditation, prayer, and exercise, and it changed everything. My anxiety subsided exactly one day before the Live Session, and I arrived at the studio feeling guided, centered, and deeply connected.

In the studio, everything flowed. The team worked very carefully, and I felt that every detail was being handled intuitively and harmoniously. We left very happy with the result, with the feeling that spirituality truly opened the space for this artistic rebirth to happen.

You talk a lot about “soul singing.” For you, what is the biggest challenge—and the biggest reward—of singing from such a sensitive and exposed place?

Singing from my “soul’s corner” is challenging because it requires courage to show myself unfiltered, with all the sensitivity and vulnerability that entails. But it’s also my greatest reward. When I sing from this place, I feel that the music truly touches, heals, and creates a genuine connection with the listener. It’s where technique meets emotion, and where truth transforms into art.

The EP arrives after the premiere of the videos on YouTube, strengthening a new stage in your career. What do you hope the audience will feel when they hear these live versions — and what do you hope to feel when you see these people again at future shows?

I want you to feel like you’re right there with me when you listen to these live versions. I want you to perceive the lightness, the energy, and the genuine emotion of each song. My intention is for the EP to embrace, soothe, and allow you to experience this moment of connection as if it were a private concert.

And in the upcoming shows, what I most hope for is to reunite with this audience with open hearts. I want to feel that exchange vibrating again, hear people singing along with me, and experience that connection that only the stage provides. This EP is the beginning of a new phase, and I’m very happy to share this new beginning with those who follow my work.
