Sylvestra Bianchi releases “Vibrações do Alto” and presents a proposal for spirituality at Rock Cósmico

Singer-songwriter Sylvestra Bianchi released the single “Vibrações do Alto” (Vibrations from Above) on March 3rd, marking another step in building her artistic identity within the concept of Cosmic Rock. With a light and captivating sound, the song presents a message that unites spirituality, well-being, and awareness in daily life, inviting the listener to slow down and reconnect with themselves. Inspired by a personal process of spiritual connection, the song was conceived as an accessible mantra, reinforcing the search for emotional balance and presence amidst a fast-paced routine.

“Vibrações do Alto” emerges as an invitation to presence and lightness amidst the fast-paced routine. At what point in your life did you feel the need to transform that feeling into music?

“Vibrações do Alto” (Vibrations from Above) was born at a time when I felt the need to slow down and reconnect with myself.

Amidst the routine and racing thoughts, I realized how easy it is to disconnect from one’s own energy and go on autopilot.

It was in this space of pause and connection that the music came, almost like an inner calling.

It emerged as a mantra, a way to remind myself and anyone who listens that we can choose to live with more lightness, presence, and awareness, even in the midst of everyday life.

Turning that feeling into music was very natural, because that’s how I can express and share what I’m going through.

You describe the track as a “sung and joyful mantra.” What was the process like for creating a song that could function both as music and as a meditative experience?

“Vibrações do Alto” (Vibrations from Above) emerged very intuitively, like a mantra. The intention was always to bring a feeling of well-being and elevated energy.

The lyrics aren’t repetitive; they convey messages throughout the song, but the instrumental creates this mantra-like atmosphere. The atabaque drum, guitar, and bass drive the music in a continuous, almost flowing way, helping to create a more present and tranquil state.

It’s music that can be listened to every day, but it also creates a more meditative experience because of the vibe and the sound atmosphere.

The concept of Cosmic Rock seems to be one of the pillars of your artistic work. How did this idea of uniting music, spirituality, and well-being within the same sonic universe come about?

I created the Cosmic Rock musical style to have my creative freedom. My compositions require a variation of rhythms and styles to be able to convey the emotional state that the lyrics represent.

Rock was what motivated me to start this project in 2016. In the beginning, it was the predominant style, but today the songs are a bit lighter, due to a need to adapt the spiritual themes. Today, rock serves as its representation: as strength, expression, and identity. And it unites with other softer sounds to create space for spirituality, well-being, and inner connection.

Cosmic Rock is born precisely from this union, between intensity and lightness, between the human and the spiritual, creating an experience that goes beyond music, but also touches the senses and self-knowledge.

The music’s sound incorporates organic elements like percussion, guitar, and bass, creating a welcoming atmosphere. How did you approach these arrangements to convey this feeling of fluidity and connection?

The musical arrangements were produced by Leomaristi, who has a sensibility very much in line with what I seek to convey in my compositions. He understands the intention of the music and translates that into the atmosphere of the instrumental.

We don’t stick to a fixed style; we feel what the music asks for and let creative freedom guide the process.

Since “Vibrações do Alto” (Vibrations from Above) originated as a joyful mantra, the instrumental arrangement needed to reflect that state. The choice of percussion, guitar, and bass was precisely to create this feeling of fluidity, warmth, and connection, guiding the listener to a lighter and more present place.

The song emerged from a moment of spiritual connection experienced in 2023. Could you tell us a little more about how this experience influenced the lyrics and energy of the music?

2023 was a year in which I paused releases to dedicate myself to composing a new series of songs. It was a period in which I felt the need to calm my routine and my inner state, to connect more deeply with intuition and spirituality.

Most of these songs emerged at dawn. I often woke up with lyrics and melodies already there, like a calling to write. This state of connection usually comes during the quietest and most peaceful moments of the day.

Some songs came from a channeling process, others more intuitively, like psychography. But all were born with the same intention: to transmit messages that help with well-being, awareness, and self-knowledge.

Your work proposes a spirituality integrated into daily life, without necessarily being tied to formal rituals. How do you believe music can help people reconnect with themselves in their daily lives?

I believe in a free, universalist spirituality that is not bound to a single form or religion. Each person finds their own path to evolve.

Today, what many people need most is precisely a moment to stop and look inward. Routine ends up distancing us from this space of inner listening.

Music acts as a bridge to this reunion. It has the power to touch the senses directly, to calm the mind, and to help the person reconnect with themselves, without the need for a formal ritual.

Often, it is in simplicity, like listening to music, breathing, allowing yourself to feel, that the answers begin to appear.

Your journey is interesting because you have a background in fields like civil engineering and business administration before pursuing music. How was it to answer this artistic and spiritual calling and transform your life?

Spirituality has always been present in my life, but when I needed to choose an academic path, I didn’t yet see a profession that aligned with my gifts and talents.

My initial degree was in business administration, which is useful in any field. Later, I graduated in civil engineering, a choice more aligned with my family’s career path.

In 2015, I had a very clear spiritual calling. Different therapists and spiritualists, each within their own field, confirmed that I should reclaim my artistic gifts from childhood: I’ve been singing since I was little.

During that same period, music was already a part of my life as a leisure activity, mainly through rock music, going to concerts throughout Brazil and the world.

Starting this artistic project meant completely stepping out of my comfort zone. I came from a structured routine, and I had to learn everything from scratch: music production, recording, releases, vocal techniques.

Spirituality didn’t provide an easy path for me, but it did give me direction. It was a process of great learning, which contributed not only to my evolution as an artist, but also as a person.

When someone hears “Vibrations from Above” for the first time—perhaps during a difficult time or amidst the chaos of daily life—what feeling or message do you hope that person will take away with them?

I hope the person feels welcomed, like a breath of fresh air amidst the chaos. May the music help calm the mind and bring more lightness to that moment.

The intention is to remind us that it’s possible to transform our inner state, even when the external world is challenging. That there is a path to greater peace, and that it begins within each of us.

If “Vibrations from Above” manages to provide that return for you, that moment of presence and inner connection, then it has already fulfilled its purpose.

Because sometimes, all we need is a moment to turn inward and remember that peace has always been there.
