São Paulo – The 32nd Business Luncheon of the Brazilian Protagonists Club, held in partnership with Mastermind and the Forum of the Americas, brought together businesspeople, leaders, and authorities to discuss the challenges of economic development and the role of the private sector in social transformation.

A space for dialogue and connections

Created by Tadeu Lokermann, the Protagonists Club has established itself as a strategic networking environment focused on exchanging experiences and building partnerships. With each edition, the meeting seeks to bring together entrepreneurial leadership trajectories, social impact initiatives, and public policy perspectives.

Regina Carnovale Nunes’s Speech

Among the guests was the capital’s First Lady, Regina Carnovale Nunes, who emphasized the need to broaden the notion of protagonism:

“It is an honor to be here today at the Protagonists of Brazil event, alongside leaders, businesspeople, and authorities who not only represent our country, but also drive the economy with purpose and responsibility.

As a woman and First Lady of Brazil’s largest city, I deeply believe that protagonism goes beyond individual success—it manifests itself in the impact we have on people’s lives, especially the most vulnerable.

Under my husband’s administration, Mayor Ricardo Nunes, we have worked for a more inclusive, humane, and compassionate São Paulo. Investing in public policies that welcome, empower, and strengthen those most in need—whether through animal rights, women’s protection, or the countless social initiatives we seek to connect with the strength of the private sector.

Events like this show that Brazil is made up of protagonists who believe in transformation—and I am here to reinforce this: Together, civil society, public authorities, and the private sector can go even further.”

Collective Leadership and Social Impact

The First Lady’s presence reinforced the Club’s mission: to demonstrate that leadership is not limited to business results, but also involves social responsibility and a positive impact on communities.

By bringing together different sectors, the meeting reaffirmed the importance of cooperation as a way to address inequalities and encourage new forms of sustainable development.
