Bloco do Fico initiative brings together families, people with disabilities, and pets for a day of awareness, culture, and solidarity in Ipiranga
The Ipiranga neighborhood hosted an unprecedented inclusion and well-being event this Saturday (4), with the CarnaPet Inclusion, promoted by Bloco do Fico in partnership with the City of São Paulo. The initiative was supported and invited by First Lady Regina Nunes, who has distinguished herself for her commitment to social causes and accessibility projects in the capital.
With the theme “Inclusion, love, and care in one block,” the event brought together families, people with disabilities, and their pets in an atmosphere of celebration and awareness. CarnaPet Inclusion aimed to promote respect for diversity, encourage responsible adoption, and broaden the debate on the rights of people with disabilities—all in an atmosphere of celebration and solidarity.
“It was a special day, dedicated to inclusion and care for pets. An event that reflects the love and commitment to a more accessible, humane, and conscious city,” Regina Nunes emphasized in a press release.
During the event, held on Rua dos Patriotas, between Rua Bom Pastor and Avenida Nazaré, the public participated in several free activities, such as a pet parade, inclusion workshops, a dedicated kids’ area, an adoption tent, and musical performances with drums, DJs, and sign language interpreters.
CarnaPet Inclusion also reinforced the importance of social responsibility in animal care, encouraging participants to contribute food donations for vulnerable dogs and cats.
Beyond its festive nature, the event highlighted the São Paulo City Hall’s commitment to promoting initiatives focused on social inclusion, animal welfare, and accessibility—causes that have been a constant focus on the agenda of First Lady Regina Nunes, who is also the godmother of the Gaviões da Fiel Social Department.
The event was supported by the Municipal Secretariat for Persons with Disabilities and the Municipal Secretariat for Culture and the Creative Economy, reinforcing the integration between government, civil society, and cultural movements.
With strong community appeal and social engagement, CarnaPet Inclusion established itself as a celebration of values that unite São Paulo: diversity, empathy, and love for animals.
