Rio de Janeiro is preparing to officially welcome the Spring-Summer season with another edition of the Barra World Fashion Show, scheduled for Saturday, September 19, at 6 p.m., at Barra World Shopping, in Recreio dos Bandeirantes.
Recognized as one of the most traditional fashion events on Rio’s calendar, the show will bring together more than 30 brands presenting their new collections and the main trends for the upcoming season.

Behind Barra World is entrepreneur José Koury, whose vision helped transform the shopping center into a unique destination that combines leisure, culture and business in Rio’s West Zone. According to Koury, investing in events that connect people with the creative economy has always been part of a broader development strategy.
“From the very beginning, I have always seen Barra World as a development project. A business should not merely occupy a space, but contribute to transforming the community around it. Fashion, culture and events are part of that vision,” says José Koury.

The event is organized by sisters Julia and Manoela Koury, who have prepared a special evening for guests and visitors.
“Our goal is to create an experience that goes beyond fashion. We want to celebrate creativity, elegance and the vibrant energy of Rio de Janeiro, while bringing together brands, designers, media and the public in a memorable event,” says Julia Koury.
“The Barra World Fashion Show has become a reference because it combines style, entertainment and hospitality. We are delighted to welcome guests and showcase the strength and diversity of Brazilian fashion,” adds Manoela Koury.

In addition to the runway presentations, the event will feature coverage by major media outlets and an exclusive cocktail reception for VIP guests.
With free admission and open access to the public, the Barra World Fashion Show reinforces Rio de Janeiro’s position as a center of fashion, creativity and lifestyle, bringing to the runway collections that reflect the city’s sophisticated and vibrant spirit.
Barra World Shopping is located at Avenida Alfredo Baltazar da Silveira, 580, Recreio dos Bandeirantes, Rio de Janeiro.
