After years of developing exclusive pieces for her projects, the architect and designer has chosen Scatto to take her product design beyond the interiors she designs for the first time.
Product design has always been present in Camila Pimenta’s work. Throughout her career, designing unique pieces has become a natural part of the creative process for her projects, driven by a premise that remains central to her firm: no two projects should be alike.
In an architecture marked by the search for identity, the ideal piece often simply doesn’t exist. It is at this moment that design becomes part of the project. Furniture, objects, and elements developed specifically for each space have helped, over the years, to build an original repertoire that until then remained essentially reserved for the firm’s clients.

“Product design has always been part of my creative process. My clients seek precisely this authorship, something that has been conceived for them and that is not simply a repetition of what already exists. Often, the project calls for a piece that does not yet exist, and it is from this desire to find the exact solution that the design is born. Creating products, for me, has always been a natural extension of architecture and interiors.”
What changes now, therefore, is not Camila’s approach to product design, but the reach of these creations.

Until now, her pieces were linked to specific projects, conceived within a particular context and intended to remain within that universe. For the first time, the architect and designer has decided to translate this production into a collection intended for the market.
The decision marks an important shift in his career path.

Over the years, various invitations to develop collections have arisen, but Camila has chosen to preserve her work within the universe of projects she has designed. The possibility of creating for a wider audience required a partnership capable of maintaining the same degree of authorship, care, and freedom present in her usual creative process.
It was during this meeting that the collaboration with Scatto emerged.

This partnership marks the beginning of the development of Camila Pimenta’s first signature collection, conceived to transcend the limits of her own designs. A collection born from a language built over the years, but which, this time, will be able to establish new relationships with different architectural styles and interiors.
“I had received other invitations before, but I always understood that this move needed to happen with the right partner. I didn’t want to simply associate my name with a collection. I wanted to be truly involved in the process and find a brand that understood my language and was open to developing each idea with me. I found that in Scatto. There is a very special synergy between our worlds, and I believe this partnership has all the elements to build something truly remarkable.”

The initial designs have already been presented to the brand, and the collection is now entering the development phase. This is the moment when ideas begin to find material, proportion, and technical solutions, while the forms that will define the project remain preserved.
On social media, Camila shared only a first hint of what’s to come. A behind-the-scenes video of the presentation captures fragments of the process, details and moments of the meeting, without revealing the pieces.
Mystery is part of the narrative.
At this initial stage, more important than revealing the shapes, materials, or details of the collection is announcing the movement it represents.
For the first time, a design language built over years within Camila Pimenta’s projects is beginning to leave an essentially exclusive universe to gain new destinations.
This is not the beginning of your relationship with product design.
This refers to the moment when a creation previously reserved for personal projects begins, for the first time, to be conceived for the public.
Camila Pimenta’s original collection for Scatto will be revealed soon. Until then, her designs remain a secret.
