Singer and actor Dani Flomin debuted in “Mila no Multiverso”, the first national science fiction series on Disney+ that premiered in January and is already a huge success. Like Pierre, he is one of the protagonists along with Malu Mader and is already one of the most beloved characters in the series. Pierre is a very special character because he has a great mystery in the multiverse.

As the series deals with many forms of diversity, Pierre will also present his particular characteristics, which will stand out when the viewer watches the series. He is a very unique character who will elicit both laughs and emotions at the same time.

Dani Flomin, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actor, is just 21 years old. He became better known when he was even younger, at the age of 10, when he released his first album “Mundo Mágico”. It was produced by Marcelo Sussekind, former guitarist of “Erva Doce” and producer of “The Voice Brasil” and “The Voice Kids Brasil”, from Rede Globo.

On her first release, Dani had her songs played on more than 60 radio stations across Brazil, including Rádio Nativa, Rádio Transcontinental and Rádio Transamérica. He was on the cover of the most important newspapers and magazines and caught the attention of the press, such as Globinho and Billboard. In addition, Dani’s YouTube clip, with actress Júlia Gomes, was a hit, causing the clip to be shown on national television, on Gloob.

Dani Flomin performed in important venues, such as Miranda, and performed twice for more than 200,000 people on New Year’s Eve on the beach in Rio de Janeiro in a solo show. Not only important places, but Dani has also taken the stage with big names in Brazilian music and was praised by several, such as Frejat, George Israel, Vitor Kley, Roberto Menescal, Paulinho Moska, Biquini Cavadão etc. Check out the interview!

Obtaining great success even with a short release time, “Mila no Multiverso” marked the first national fiction series on Disney Plus. What was it like playing Pierre in the project?

Playing Pierre was truly a great opportunity and a gift! He taught me a lot and certainly has a lot to teach the public too! Making a character that is in all universes at the same time was a big challenge, but I hope you enjoyed the result!

In addition to the protagonist played by Laura Luz, you also played opposite Malu Mader. How was sharing the sets with this duo?

Laura, despite being young like me, is – as the name says – a light! She has an incredible maturity and it is an honor to work with her! A great actress! And about Malu, I don’t even need to say how grateful I am to have had this experience with a person with as much road as her! I have fun with her and learn a lot too!

With a very technological footprint, the series dialogues a lot with the world we are living in, mainly because the multiverse makes a reference to the metaverse, a real technology that is already being widely explored. What has been your view regarding the approach to this theme by pop culture?

I think it’s amazing that pop culture is embracing the theme because I believe we know very little about the world we live in, and once movies start talking about new possibilities, a lot of questions about life are generated!

Another very interesting, and even educational, feature that the series brought is diversity, where each character shows their peculiarities. Being on a platform with a very frequent audience for young people, do you believe that Mila’s story and the characters can help reflect the way in which we see our world?

Certainly! Mila in the Multiverse is a moving story that touches on essential issues that need to be said! But the series does it in a light and fun way, leading the young audience to be impacted while enjoying the plot! We have a lot to learn from the story and the characters!

Among Pierre’s characteristics, one of them is his personality, where at the same time he manages to take rounds from the public, he also brings a very deep emotional involvement. How did his construction work go and what do you think you have most in common?

I’m glad that Pierre has touched the audience in all these areas, both promoting laughs and reaching deeper questions. The construction of the character was exactly thinking about that! He is a character who is going through a very difficult and delicate time in life, but with Mila’s help, he begins to realize his potential! Perhaps what I have in common with Pierre is the possibility of “disconnecting” from this universe from time to time and focusing on what I need at a given moment.

In addition to acting, you also follow a career as a singer and composer, and at the age of 10 you released your first album – “Mundo Mágico”. How did art come into your life and what came first, acting or music?

Art was really a very natural manifestation, from a very young age! I can’t remember a specific moment! When it comes to the professional side, music certainly came first! But it is possible that, as a “child’s play”, the theatrics I did and the songs I sang came concomitantly.

With regard to this new album, Marcelo Sussekind, known for being the former guitarist for “Erva Doce” and producer of the reality shows “The Vocie Brasil” and “The Voice Kids Brasil”, on Rede Globo, was responsible for producing it. How did you switch to this project?

Marcelo was a great school! I learned a lot of what I know today about studio and live behavior from him!

Soon after that first album, its success was greatly leveraged, so much so that it played on more than 60 radio stations in Brazil and appeared in major publications such as Billiboard, a vehicle specializing in music. What did making this album mean in your life and how do you see yourself artistically today?

This album was very important because it brought me great fans that follow me until today! Currently I feel even more motivated to come up with new songs, in an aesthetic proposal different from when I was a kid!

During your live performances, you sold out concert halls and even performed twice for more than 200,000 people in a solo show on New Year’s Eve in Rio de Janeiro. How was the experience of singing on this stage that is accompanied by so many Brazilians?

It’s absurdly exciting to sing in front of thousands of people! For me, nothing replaces the stage and the feeling of being with a live audience!

Also recently, you were selected to be one of the judges at a Rock in Rio event that would choose a band to go on stage at the festival, along with Ricardo Amaral, Marisa Menezes and Liminha. How was participation in this event?

It was an honor to be invited, especially for being alongside big names and for giving an amazing band a chance to play at Rock in Rio!
