Kaue Rodrigues, also known as Kauezinho, is shining on screen with appearances in successful series and promising projects. He is currently filming the long-awaited Netflix children’s series “Luz”, while also delighting audiences in the series “Auto Posto, Amigos de Nelson” on Comedy Central. In “Auto Posto”, Kaue plays the charismatic Enzo, a tiktoker and dancer with whom he deeply identifies.
Directed by Marcelo Botta and starring Walter Breda, “Auto Posto” has a talented cast, including special appearances by names like Rita Cadillac, Grace Gianoukas, Felipe Torres and Adriano Silva, from the Hermes e Renato group. How do you feel playing the character Enzo in the Comedy Central series “Auto Posto, Amigos de Nelson”? What are the challenges and rewards of this role?
I loved the character, he is very similar to me. Enzo is a cheerful and talented boy in dancing, he loves social media and TikTok. The character’s challenge is to make Rayane, the daughter of his mother’s boyfriend, have a good relationship with the family, and for that, he uses his talent to bring them together, Suellen and Rayane.
How has the experience of recording the first children’s series on Netflix, “Luz” been? What can viewers expect from this series?
The “Luz” series is the realization of a dream. To be with a super-talented cast is surreal. The series is incredible and viewers can expect a very entertaining story full of surprises.
In addition to acting, you are also known for your dancing skills. How do you reconcile these two passions in your artistic career?
I love dancing. I usually say that it was the dance that chose me and not the other way around. Conciliation is easy because one thing always leads to another, and all the characters I’ve given life to date always have a bit of dancing, hahaha.
What are your main inspirations in the entertainment world? Are there artists or figures who influence your work?
I have a lot of inspirations in dance and acting too. In dance, I love Chris Brown and many Brazilians like Kelvin Flásk Boy, Vanessa Lopes, and many others. In the performance, Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Lázaro Ramos, among others.
What’s it like working with a talented cast on “Auto Posto”? Can you share any fun or interesting experiences behind the scenes of the series?
Oh, the cast of “Auto Posto” isn’t just a team, it’s a family. From director Marcelo Botta, who welcomed us with great affection, to the little dances at intervals, it was a daily tradition. We had a lot of fun, because some actors didn’t dance and were always taking risks. That was something remarkable.
What are your future plans in your artistic career? Is there a dream project you would like to undertake?
Oh, I have many dreams that I’m still going to fulfill, but so far I can only thank God, because I’m reaching places I never imagined. I know that with my willpower and determination, I will achieve all my personal and professional goals.
How do you deal with the balance between your professional commitments and your personal life? How do family and friends support you on this journey?
It’s very busy, but my family is my base, the fundamental piece in managing all of this. Even with the rush of recordings and my career, I manage to play and study, because if I didn’t, my mother would pick on me about studying. I have full support from my family, they are the base to achieve all my goals.
How do you prepare for a new role? Are there any rituals or processes you follow before getting into character?
Yes, before bringing any character to life, we go through pre-production, where we study the personality, characteristics and many texts to understand the character’s role in the story. It is a very important phase to start acting within the project.
In addition to acting, you are also a digital influencer. How do you use social media to connect with your audience and share your art?
Social networks, my mother says, are the artist’s resume, and it’s true. It’s a place where I can show my routine, tell news and show everything I do. It is a source of encouragement, where many of my followers always praise me, ask for content and are inspired by me. This is something really cool, where we feel the energy of our followers through our cell phones or computers. It’s amazing.
What advice would you give to other children or young people who want to pursue a career in entertainment?
My advice is that you always go after your dreams, never give up. It’s not easy, but the result is worth it. A phrase I heard and never forgot is: ‘I want it, I can and I will get it.’ Believe in yourself, stay determined and persevere, and you will see that you are capable of achieving what you want in life. Don’t let challenges discourage you, as every obstacle can be an opportunity for growth. Stay focused on your goals and move forward with confidence. You are capable!
