Start grid defined for the fifth stage of the TCR South America, which takes place at the Víctor Borrat Fabini racetrack, in El Pinar, Uruguay. Running for the first time on the 3.496 km track and 13 curves, Pedro Aizza from Paraná recorded the sixth best time in this Saturday (6th), his starting position in race 1, from 9:40 am this Sunday (7), with transmission live from ESPN 3.

In the second race, with the top 10 reversed on the grid, Aizza will start in fifth place with his Hyundai Elantra #35. The race will start at 11:40 am (live on ESPN 4).

The starting positions are the same as those reached by the pilot in the last stage, held in Rivera, also in Uruguay, when Aizza was on the podium in both races, coming in third in both.

“It was a relatively good qualifying, especially if we compare with the performance we had in training”, highlighted Aizza.

“I managed to evolve a little more. We improved in Sector 3, kept Sector 1 pretty much the same, and had a little more difficulty in Sector 2,” he explained.

“During the qualifiers, we also worked with a different dynamic. We switched the tires from Q1 to Q2, we tweaked the pound and I believe we are now competitive to seek podiums tomorrow’, highlighted the 17-year-old.

“The first two places are really strong and we are still looking for resources to fight at the front. But giving up is not an option and we will keep working. From Friday to Saturday, the team worked until 1 am, so we are doing our best, focused and we hope to be able to gather all this learning to fight for the best possible results in the races”, concluded Aizza, who runs for Scuderia Chiarelli.

In four stages so far, the Brazilian already has three podiums and continues with 100% success, scoring points in all races held so far in the 2022 season. The driver is fifth in the table.

Sponsored by Promax Bardahl, Pedro Aizza also has the support of VipCar Acessories Automotivos.
