Playmate New Zealand is Brazilian Ana Paula Saad, about to turn 45 years old. She has just been chosen by Playboy, the largest men’s magazine in circulation in the world. Known as the Muse of the 2000s, the model reemerges in style after a year’s sabbatical, even overcoming an abusive relationship in the USA.
In the past, Ana Paula starred in dozens of sensual shoots for men’s magazines, including Playboy and Sexy, but she hasn’t posed nude for 5 years. During this period, she dedicated herself to motherhood. Away from the flashes, the Brazilian now announces her return, lending all her beauty and charisma to campaigns, brands and magazines.
“I feel ready to resume my career. And being elected Playmate gives me the certainty that I am at my best at almost 45 years old, without fear of labels, breaking taboos and standards. That’s what maturity is, I feel as sensual and hot as I did when I was 20 or 30,” she says.
The title of Playmate, according to her, was a surprise, she only discovered it through social media. “It was very unexpected. Playboy spoke to me last year and asked me for the material. Suddenly they started tagging me on social media and I discovered that I had been chosen. It’s a lot of happiness.”
In the pages of the magazine, a very intimate and revealing essay. Without explicit nudity, Ana Paula seduces with her eyes and says that this is the part of her body that pleases her most. “I like this game of looks, my eyes bring a silent dialogue, that thing of conquest, desire and romanticism. My eyes tell me exactly what I’m feeling at that moment.”
Still on Playboy, the Muse of the 2000s gave a long interview. She spoke about the image of a sexy symbol in Brazil, listed the qualities a man should have and spoke openly about being sexual. “I am very (laughs). I often say that for me a relationship is 98% sex, it’s involvement and affection.”
Back on the artistic scene, far beyond her sensual image, Ana Paula now wants to invest more in her acting side. In fact, she lives in Los Angeles – the city of cinema – where she keeps in touch with directors and producers. “When I retired last year, I started studying more and pursuing my dreams. I always wanted to make a film or a series. And I feel like the time has come. I’m driven by challenges.”
