At 12 years old, Haroun Abud has already conquered his space in the Brazilian artistic scene. With participation in several television and theater productions, the young actor has stood out for his versatility and talent.

Currently, Haroun is sharing the character of Jupiter with Thiago Martins in the soap opera “Família é Tudo”, shown at 7am on Rede Globo. His performance in the plot has caught the attention of the public and critics.

In addition to “Família é Tudo”, Haroun was also present in other television productions, such as “Gênesis”, from Record, where he played Pildas, and in the series “Reis”, in which he gained prominence as Ben- Simei in the 9th season. On Globo, he participated in the soap opera “Espelho da Vida”, playing the character André Men.

In theater, Haroun demonstrates his passion for performing art. He was part of two course completion plays at CEDARCO: “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”, where he played the model boy who had a fight with Tom, and “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”. Recently, he was on display with the children’s play “Brinquedos Consercionados”, by Domingos Oliveira, where he played the roles of the protagonists Paulinho and Gaspar.

In addition to his natural talent, Haroun invests in his artistic training, having taken audiovisual courses with Victor Ferradi , theater courses at Espaço Entre with Christina Betencout , and is currently improving his dubbing skills at IAB. With a promising future ahead, Haroun Abud is a name to be followed closely in the world of acting.

How has the experience of playing the character Jupiter been in the Globo soap opera “Família é tudo”? How would you describe his role in the family dynamics of the plot?

It was very interesting, because Jupiter has four brothers, unlike me, who is an only child. This relationship with brothers was a lot of fun, as we had a very real interaction of affection and care. Jupiter is like that, he takes care of his brothers but also likes to tease them.

In addition to “Família é tudo”, you have had experience in other television productions, such as “Gênesis”, “Reis” and “Espelho da Vida”. What do you like most about acting on television?

I like meeting people and playing different characters. For me, it’s great fun, but I always take what the director asks very seriously. I like the characters’ clothes, like in Reis, Gênesis and Espelho da Vida, which were period soap operas.

What has it been like balancing your studies with your acting career? Do you think the dubbing course at IAB has contributed to your artistic development?

I’m in seventh year and I’ve always passed straight through. I have my study routine at school and the recording schedule doesn’t interfere. Outside of school, I always take theater, audiovisual courses and workshops. The dubbing course at IAB is also contributing to my development, as dubbing is interpreting theater with your body with your voice and television with your face. In the end, everything complements each other.

You mentioned preparing with Mareliz for the role in “Família é tudo”. What was this preparation process like? Did you have any specific inspiration when building the character Jupiter?

Marilez is a very dear person, I’ve known her since I was six years old, when I made Espelho da Vida. She is very affectionate, calms us down and teaches us the emotion of the character. To experience Jupiter, the most important thing was the interaction with my brothers.

What was it like working with renowned actors such as Paulo Tiefenthaler , Arlete Sales, Grace Gianoukas , Cris Vianna and Ana Carbatti in the soap opera “Família é tudo”?

They are very friendly and attentive. I took the opportunity to learn more from them and Arlete Salles was very kind to us, and fun too.

You had the opportunity to meet Thiago Martins behind the scenes of the soap opera. How was this experience? Did you exchange any experiences about the world of music?

We met very quickly and didn’t have time to talk much yet. We only took photos and he was very friendly and attentive to everyone. I could see that he is very loved by the production team.

You played the character Paulinho and Gaspar in the play “Brinquedos Consercionados”. What is the difference between acting in theater and on television? Do you have a preference between these two forms of artistic expression?

The play Fixed Toys was an incredible experience for me and a great professional growth. I played two different characters, like Paulinho, who is calmer and nicer, and Gaspar, more agitated and evil. For me, theater is a great school, because we have to do everything big, project our voice, memorize the text and even improvise. On television, we can ‘make mistakes’ and do it again. I really like television, but I like theater more.

What was the preparation process like to play Jupiter in the soap opera “Família é tudo”? Did you have any specific inspiration when building this character?

It was a construction between three incredible professionals, Marilez , Igor Moreira and Mariana Richard. They talked to us a lot and suggested the best way to do the scene according to our personalities and those of the characters.

In addition to acting, you are also interested in music, having participated in TV shows showcasing your singing and ukulele skills . How do you balance your multiple artistic skills? Are there any you would like to explore more in the future?

It was a lot of fun, as the brothers were always joking and teasing each other. But the best part, for sure, was the pool. It was a very hot day and the pool was beautiful. We didn’t even want to get out of it and certainly the entire production wanted to get in. Everyone in production was very kind and I’m always amazed at how many people work behind the cameras and are the ones who make everything happen perfectly.
