Tuono, an independent artist who composes, records and produces his own music, is preparing to release his first single of the year, entitled “Eu sigo em busca de paz (ESEBDP)”. The song’s message is about believing in yourself and facing life’s problems with determination despite the chaos the world is currently facing. Inspiration for the song came from both the current environment and the artist’s personal challenges. Tuono hopes the music will bring comfort, motivation and hope to his fans, and throughout the year, he plans to release more singles that span the diverse styles of music he loves. Check out the interview:
Where did you get the inspiration to compose “I follow in search of peace (ESEBDP)”? What was your main motivation when writing the lyrics and composing the music?
The world is chaotic and it’s not today, right? (laughs) Since the pandemic, its middle and end here, I felt everything a little more effervescent, I don’t know, a climate of tension always. That, together with my insecurities, made me lose nights and more nights trying to reorganize a new start in life. And there comes a time when you can no longer stay alone in this field of “Making the best in your mind” you need to go up, fight, throw yourself again, renewing faith and strength in what you believe.
You were responsible for all phases of the production of this song, including writing, mixing and mastering. How was that process for you? Did you encounter any difficulties at any stage?
Yes, all the musical processes are done by me here in my room, since way back when I used to record only with my cell phone. My room is my studio and my private world, I compose here, and here I do the recording, and the mixing and mastering process, sometimes the hardest part is dealing with external noise (laughs). But since it’s been 4 years and not enough, we create mechanisms (laughs) record inside the closet, or put a mattress on the side.
What is your expectation about the fans’ reaction to “I follow in search of peace (ESEBDP)”? How do you believe music can positively impact their lives and help them face challenges?
In a “General” way, my audience likes something more melancholy, but they have grown over these more than 4 years of Tuono, and I believe that a dose of hope and faith is never too much, I sincerely hope that they receive this sound with the same love from others and use it to give you that boost early in the morning before going out into the world to work or study.
About this new release, do you hope that music will be a source of comfort and motivation for them in their search for peace and balance?
Yes, I hope that somehow it helps, hugs or comforts someone, that’s always the goal. When I get a comment saying something like that I feel like – Okay, it worked. It’s really important to see/read that someone felt better about a song you made.
Do you have plans to release more songs or a full album this year? If so, can you give us some insight into what fans can expect? What is the theme or message you plan to explore in your future songs?
I don’t know if an album is suddenly even a great idea. But I know that this year there will be many singles, today ESEBDP comes out, and next month Anna comes out. And there are already others being finalized. What I can guarantee is that there will be everything, indie, samba, rap, MPB, blues. This is even one of the great joys of doing what I do as I do, being able to be and record a little of everything I love.
