The former participant of Big Brother Brasil 23 and renowned volleyball player, Key Alves, is increasingly standing out both in the media and on social networks. Born in Bauru, in the interior of São Paulo, Key has won over a legion of fans throughout her sporting career, with more than 12 million followers on Instagram. In addition to her volleyball skills, the athlete ventures as a digital influencer and has a strong presence on the OnlyFans website. Since she participated in Big Brother Brasil it’s hard to have a day that her name is not present in the mainstream media.
Key’s trajectory in volleyball began early, when she was part of her school’s women’s team and participated in numerous regional tournaments. Her dedication and talent led her to be hired by the Associação Vôlei Bauru team, where she had the opportunity to improve her skills and stand out as a libero. With her impeccable technique, Key was South American champion for the Brazilian under-20 team in 2018, being recognized as the best libero in the competition.
In addition to his success on the court, Key Alves drew attention by participating in the twenty-third season of the reality show Big Brother Brasil. Even though she was eliminated eighth, with 56.76% of the public votes, her captivating personality and charisma won over the public. His growing popularity resulted in Key being chosen as a BBB 23 representative for the reality show La Casa de los Famosos, taped in Mexico. With his versatility and talent, Key continues to surprise and inspire his followers, consolidating his name both in the world of sport and in the digital universe.
You recently mentioned that you plan to take a period away from the sport to ensure good financial stability after your post-BBB success. Could you share a little more about your future plans and what you hope to achieve at this stage in your life?
I believe that post-BBB is a great business opportunity for everyone, and to achieve success, we must focus on one thing. I realized that I wouldn’t be able to reconcile a career as an athlete, which demands a lot of time, with post-reality. Therefore, I decided to make this decision. We are already creating new plans, including a workshop about my life and OnlyFans. In addition, we are launching an unprecedented brand, which will be a feminine and masculine perfume. Soon I will also announce my new American team, which I will be playing for in 2025.
In addition to volleyball and digital influence, you are also involved in projects on the OnlyFans website. How do you approach sexuality and self-expression in this context?
At OnlyFans, I work with sensuality and not with sexuality. This platform has changed my life and I want to pass this experience on to other people, becoming a great inspiration for them.
During your participation in the reality show La Casa de los Famosos, you had the opportunity to live an international experience in Mexico. How did this experience contribute to your personal and professional growth?
Having the opportunity to participate in “La Casa de los Famosos” was an honor for me, and Mexico was essential for my growth, both during my participation on the BBB and my career outside of reality television.
Big Brother Brasil is known for creating bonds of friendship and rivalries between participants. Do you keep in touch with some confinement colleagues? Is there anyone in particular you’ve developed a special friendship with?
The BBB makes us create rivalries, but it also brings us faithful friends. I have great friendships there, and even had a romance inside the house.
Still talking about the reality show, Big Brother Brasil is one of the most recognized of the genre and ends up generating great exposure to its participants. Despite being already living in the media before the program, do you believe that Key Alves came out differently after participating in this edition in 2023? What do you learn by participating in such a program?
Key Alves was known in the sports world as a professional athlete, but after the BBB, she became known as the human being she really is. It has been very different as harassment has increased a thousandfold. Today, I cannot go out on the street without everyone knowing who I am. It really freaked me out, but I’m loving the affection. It is gratifying to know that I was the participant who gained the most followers. I recently received a reality TV star award in Brazil, with millions of votes from the public. Also, being chosen to participate in the reality show in Mexico is really amazing for me. I feel like a true champion.
Finally, based on everything that is heard about you – who do you think is the Key Alves that the public sees and how do you define yourself as a Key Alves human being?
I don’t know how the public sees me, but I know how my 12 million fans see me, and that’s enough for me. I see myself as brave, a warrior, a growing woman, with a huge responsibility on my shoulders to support my family and be happy. I don’t care how people see me; from the bottom of my heart i know who i am and i am authentic 100% of the time.
