With the success of the launch of his new tour entitled “Primavera” and the single “Não Escapa Não”, in partnership with singer Buchecha, Rodrigo Auad showed the public, at his debut in Rio de Janeiro and then Minas Gerais, an eclectic repertoire with songs from his first album added to previously released singles and great hits from other composers. The eternal queen of rock, Rita Lee won a beautiful tribute with the reinterpretation of “Agora Só Falta Você” and a special appearance by singer Jade Baraldo – a night that certainly went down in history in the artist’s career, who will continue with the show in other seasons. capitals.

Rodrigo Auad will release his first album of his career in the first half of 2024, with the name that gives life to his new tour, “Primavera” features on its tracklist the single “Não Escapa Não”, in partnership with Buchecha, which was showing in cinemas with the feature film “Não Sonho”, which tells the story of one of the most acclaimed funk duos in the country.

“Não Escapa Não” is the song to send to your crush, at that moment of conquest and the beginning of a relationship, where you don’t yet know what you are experiencing, although you know that the desire is to experience surrender and exchange. The beat has a particular inspiration from contemporary pop with a touch of Brazilian R&B”, he explains about the song that will be released on the debut of the “Primavera” tour.

The artist continues to grow artistically, since his debut on the music scene in 2017, through the release of the EP “Acordando” (2018) and the various singles of his career, Rodrigo Auad walks brilliantly between Brazilian popular music and his impeccable reinterpretations of the national pop.

In addition to his vast repertoire, Auad brought to the stage the singer Jade Baraldo, semi-finalist in the musical reality show “The Voice Brasil”, and whose debut song ranked first on the viral chart on Spotify Brasil. ANDto make the debut of the “Primavera” tour complete, nothing more than a well-deserved tribute to Rita Lee, with the reinterpretation of the song “Agora Só Falta Você”, released in 1975, which is part of the album “Fruto Proibido”.

You mentioned that the song “Não Escapa Não” has a beat inspired by contemporary pop with a touch of Brazilian R&B. What was the process of creating this song like?

Buchecha and I met at the dg3 Music Experience studio, and there we wrote 3 songs together. I brought the grooves with the guitar, and we sang and wrote the lyrics. When the time came to record the album Primavera, we selected “Não Escapa Não” because, of the 3, it is the one that has the most in common with the other songs. So I talked to Buchecha about the idea, and she loved the fact that I chose her. So, I carried out pre-production at home, and sent it so he could record. He preferred to record in his home studio, and brought his interpretation very intensely to the recording. Then I took all the material to David Gomes, co-producer of the album, and recorded the official tracks in his studio.

The repertoire of his “Primavera” tour combines songs from his first album, released singles and hits by other composers. How did you choose the songs for this tour?

The show is magical. I like the feeling of starting with a “tchan”, creating moments, moods, and returning with a more intense crescendo until the end of the show. So the selection of the repertoire is very important, as is the order of the songs to boost the sensation of the show. Regarding the songs I’ve already released, I’ve selected the best known ones to interact more with the public, and as for the new compositions, I’ve loved playing the livelier ones, and raising the crowd’s spirits.

Can you tell us more about the inspiration behind the name “Primavera” for the album and tour?

Spring is an act of personal and artistic blossoming. I worked a lot on my self-knowledge during compositions and musical and audiovisual productions. With spirituality, I also healed myself from everything in a very beautiful way.

Singer Jade Baraldo’s participation in her tour and the choice to pay homage to Rita Lee with the reinterpretation of “Agora Só Falta Você” are remarkable. How did these collaborations come about and what do they mean to you?

Jade Baraldo and I have been getting along really well. In addition to her being a wonderful artist, with a super hot voice, we also had a lot of fun. I really identify with the intensity and sensitivity she brings to the stage because I am also quite intense and sensitive. So it flowed a lot. As for “Agora Só Falta Você”, it’s one of our favorite Rita Lee songs. And the duet we created for this song was excellent.

You mentioned your view on change and the duality between the commercial and the artistic in music. How do you balance these aspects in your career?

I have given preference to writing and producing more popular and commercial songs, because it enhances who I am and speaks more to my moment. And as a daily composer, no matter how commercial we may sound, we express feelings and truths in an increasingly natural and spontaneous way.

With more than 600 thousand plays on Spotify and a growing influence beyond Brazilian borders, how do you deal with the international reach and reception of your music?

I love knowing that people like me in different places around the world. I get along really well with foreigners and I have friends all over the world. I’m happy to be this channel for Brazilian and world music, good for everyone on Earth.

You refer to spring as self-discovery. How did this process of self-discovery influence your musical creation for this album?

This album has many love songs inspired by the loves I’ve already experienced, in a very playful and partnering way at the same time. It was very intense and shamanic. When I was completing the creation process, I came across the spirit of the butterfly on many occasions, and I attracted several butterflies into my daily life. During the recordings, in the building’s gym, and even in my room, a white butterfly appeared. So for me, Spring is seeing the garden of life bloom with love, music, art and people who are attracted to who I am and what I do. Regarding self-knowledge, I also got to know my essence better, and stripped myself of my egoic layers, further enhancing my step on stage.

In addition to the new songs from the album “Primavera”, you will perform other songs in your shows. What aspects do you seek to convey to your audience during your live performances?

I love the warmth that the stage provides. I like to convey to people what I feel as a viewer and listener too. Love, passion, warmth, a feeling of high spirits and spiritual elevation. I really like seeing the change in people’s faces and moods before and after shows, singing gives me the feeling of performing my primary role, and this contact with the public enhances my life purpose.

You emphasize the value of artistic expression and your collaboration with Jade Baraldo. How does this sharing of musical expressions influence your work?

We are very inspired. This contact and this genuine exchange with Jade Baraldo brought me a lot of learning. On top of that, she is very smart. We are constantly growing, and the sounds we consume today influence the sounds we produce tomorrow.

Finally, what can fans expect from your career and the “Primavera” tour in the coming months?

Lots of good music and wonderful shows around the world! Spring is the beginning of a new era!
