Hundreds of families are currently being assisted by Lagoinha Global in Rio Grande do Sul. With 25 churches planted in the state, Lagoinha has been working since the beginning of the floods on the most diverse fronts to support those affected.
With boats and hundreds of volunteers, the church launched efforts to rescue victims who were stranded and continues to search for people in isolated areas. Furthermore, although around 8 churches were affected by the floods, other churches in the State opened their doors to become shelters for the displaced.
With hundreds of volunteers working, Lagoinha has provided thousands of lunch boxes, hygiene items, crates of water and cleaning materials. Speaking of cleaning, the church is also helping with cleaning and removing debris from the streets.
Pastor André Valadão mobilized more than 600 churches around the world. Around R$1 million were raised by Lagoinha for the emergency fund created to support Rio Grande do Sul. Hundreds of churches around the world have created collection points. With planes and trucks, Lagoinha has been sending direct resources daily to those affected in the South.
