At just 28 years old, Renan Wendell, better known as Vitinho da Torcida, already has a career in football. A partner of Vitinho do Flamengo, he plays as a starter for União Central, in division C and has just competed in the Campeonato Carioca. The star has already been a base player for teams such as: Botafogo, Fluminense and Nova Iguaçu F.C.
Since he was 8 years old, Vitinho da Torcida has been passionate about football. Even with many battles and struggles, he is proud of getting to where he is, but he doesn’t want to stop there, much less just in the fields. He has a beautiful children’s project: ‘Vitinho da Torcida Realizando Sonhos’, which teaches children about football, techniques and much more and has already revealed young players signed for Flamengo, for example. It also serves children with cognitive disorders.
“I have been playing football since I was 8 years old and it has always been my passion. Even with many struggles, battles, I managed to get here and I want to go further. I always had in my heart that I could do it and God blessed me, today I am a fulfilled person. In gratitude, I carry out this project knowing that I can also help others. I love doing this too”, highlights Vitinho da Torcida.
