One of the most famous and respected circus artists in the country, Pepé Jardim, known to the general public for being part of the Circo Spacial cast, is participating in the most popular circus festival in Russia, the Nikulin Moscow Circus International Festival, which has been running since 1889. He is the only Brazilian participating in this traditional festival, causing a stir among all the circus artists in the country who are rooting for him.

Pepé Jardim is a third-generation Brazilian circus artist, clown and physical actor, born and raised at Circo Spacial. During his almost 20-year career, Pepé has had the privilege of performing in Mexico, the United States, Canada and the Middle East. He has presented his art in more than 17 countries, and in major companies such as Cirque Dreams, Moscow State Circus, Cirque Polinésia, Circo Alegria Brothers and at Ferrari World, one of the most famous amusement parks in the world.

Pepé’s style is unique and unmistakable, and he draws the attention of audiences wherever he performs. The artist has developed his own style of physical comedy, with elements of traditional Brazilian clowning, American slapstick and the Soviet school of clowns.

“Coincidence or not, Pepé was born on September 11, 1986, the day I went to see the Russian Circus show at Ibirapuera, and now he is at the festival on his birthday in Moscow. Could it be fate?” says Marlene Querubin, who is not only his mother, but also his manager and president of Circo Spacial.

After the festival, Pepé Jardim will return to Brazil, where he will perform every weekend at Circo Spacial in the new show “Spark”, until November 20.
